Funny that although the Luffy/Shanks scene is prominent in the promotional media, Shanks is nowhere to be found in the movie itself

The movie wasn't bad. It definitely satisfies my One Piece fix for this week. Plot-wise and entertainment-wise, it ranks with the more uninteresting fillers (think Apis), but it was animated well. However, the music was not "One Piece" in any way, which probably took away from the experience for me.

I didn't have high expectations, but I found this film really enjoyable. To echo a few others the animation was a particularly nice surprise.

I found this surprisingly enjoyable. The animation in the action scenes was brilliant and the story was actually pretty funny, Brook's insane laughter in particular had me in stitches. It's a pity that the movie isn't longer.

I think this was specifically meant to be shorter to accomodate being a double-billing with "Toriko".

Imo it was very good, but too short. Classic humor and EPIC fight scenes. Zoro pwning marines is just EPIC. Action scenes are so fast…i don't wanna now how much epicness gear second would deliver if it was there.

Now I'm wondering if anyone has a link for Toriko 3D. I've enjoyed the first half of the Jump Heroes Film, short and sweet, and I'd like to complete it. Chinese subs are fine for me.

This film was fun, way more fun than "Strong World". Of course the animation lacked detail but it was super fluid, especially Zoro looked great while he was fighting.

Saw the movie a couple days ago, very impressive animation IMO. Some parts felt like roller coster rides if were watched with 3d glasses.

Not bad for a 30 minute special.

i just watch it, it's was fun to watch,its has an sense of adventure regardless the short 30 mins special. the future of all cell shaded animation movie should be set to this standard. i love every min of it from the start to the end especially the part where luffy change into gear 3rd. yes there is a luffy/shank scene but its an remembrance still scene where shank lent the straw hat to luffy which is basically the overall story here and it after the credit roll[ and how funny is this scene]
i think they made this short 3d special animation mainly for those who are new / or never seen one piece before [what ??] as well as long time fans

and hot damit seening nami and robbin in 3d made me nose bleeeddddd!!!!

ps. there is no excuse now for those of you who trying to persuade your friend over the years read/watch one piece

The movie exceeded all my expectations.
I'm surprised to say this (since I kinda hate CG movies) but this was probably the best animated One Piece I've ever seen. Now I regret being away from Japan when it was in the cinemas, I would have loved watching this in 3D.
Loved also the music.

I wish the Marine giants had some lines, and Zoro being able to cute seastone was dumb, but otherwise good movie

Just watched it and movie was really great.Animation was really fluid and the part where luffy just swings around was really nice.Thats not possible with normal anime art right?I wonder if we will ever see cg weekly anime in the future :D. Also the Zoro cutting seastone was dumb i thought he would do tatsumaki and blow it off their head or luffy could have punched ground or opened a hole :D.
I hope they will make movies and specials in this manner in the future.

I saw the movie the other day, it was a really fun watch, had some nice animation and sweet action. I'll probably watch it again once the subs are out, oh and it's hilarious how different the last few pages are from the rest of the thread. Where are all those naysayers now, I wonder?

It was way better than I expected, though I'm still not fond of this kind of 3D animation. On the other hand, it looked really nice.

Plus points because that marine had a moustache.

just watched OP movie 11, surprisingly it was enjoyable. The CG was not as bad as I expected, also's Luffy's final attack looked really good, didn't know they could do that in 3D, reminded me of Ishigami's G3 scene in the war. Toei have been doing Luffy's G3 attacks really well.

All in all, short fast paced, good action and sweet. Makes up for the lack of a One Piece chapter.

I liked how they implemented textures into the character models.

Well seastone is supposed to be the hardest substance in the One Piece world, isn't it? So presumably that net wasn't solid seastone otherwise it wouldn't be flexible. But the cage, being a cage, supposedly was solid and impossible to cut, just like the Enies Lobby handcuffs.

I'm not sure you know, but the Raw video file needs to be given the same name as the subtitle file. If it still doesn't work, try adjusting external subtitle settings on your video player. It's not unusual to have to monkey around with settings to get things working.

It it's any help, I used this video file with these subtitles.

They work perfectly with the One Piece - Mugiwara Chase (DVD 720x480 x264 AC3) [84EF1E87].mp4 file.

However, it needs to be retimed if someone wants to use it with the [Zero-Raws]One_Piece_3D_Mugiwara_Chase(DVD_848x480_x264_AAC).mkv file.

Zoro cutting the cage didnt bother me, i was hoping that dog ate a mythological zoan fruit griffin or something (dont remember what model was Pell).
Overall was nice surprise the movie.
