and I highly reccomend Ultraman Nexus.
although it is a kids show and is kinda cheesy
it also has very adult themes that are very well done.
i mean… i cried in a couple of scenes
in a show where guys in monster costumes explode!
thats an accomplishment.
I also started watching Kamen Rider Kabuto.

Anyways, I finished Kabuto (Awesome series. Awesome choice) and Decade a long time ago, in the middle of Den-O and OOO's. Love OOO's and Den-O. Decade is iffy, except the Black/RX episode which was badass. So badass.

Kinnikuman was originally about him being a Superhero saving Japan, but then it evolved into more Wrestling IIRC.
Hurricane Polimar has this brutal fighting style that just entertains me.
I'm not a big fan of Ultraman and its episodic routine, but Nexus was surprisingly great, it's the only Ultra series (that i know of) with a heavy storyline.
On Kamen Rider, i recommend Agito and Faiz (555). Great characters, serious plot, both way better than any other recent KR imo.

We're all familiar with shows like the Power Rangers and so forth, but I grew up watching Ultraman too. He's a fairly classic character because my mom remembers watching him to. He was sorry as hell but I couldn't help but root for him. Once the Power Ranger craze got started in the U.S., they brought over Kamen Rider, which we just called Masked Rider at the time and that was also VERY cool. VR Troopers came a bit later of that. The first season or two was lame but then it was pretty good afterwards.
Getting back to Kamen Rider, in addition to the Americanized Masked Rider and Kamen Rider Dragon Knight (which was AWESOME) I've also seen Kamen Rider Kiva, Kamen Rider Den-0, Kamen Rider Double, and Kamen Rider Decade. I didn't care much for Den-0 though. I've been trying to ahem, DL, episode of Kamen Rider Kabuto but I can't find it anywhere.
Complicating things since 2009.

Masked Rider and VR Troopers were so bad that they were good. However, I did truly enjoy Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad. Wish I saw the original Grid Man.
