Here you can tell the others what Dark, Light and Neutral Force Powers you like the most and a little information about them.
Light: Force Absorb - Can deflect and absorb Energy of all kind
Dark: Force Crush - Lets the Target implode
Neutral: Force Push - Pushes Air like a Cannonball
Dark: Force Destruction
Neutral: Force Jump
Light: Force Protection
Absorb isn't a good ability, or at least wasn't in Jedi Knight. It usually cost more energy than was retrieved, unless the opponent was Jerec and he was spamming Force Destruction.
Grip is imposing, but it can't be used against someone of equal power. Throw is pretty useless as well…the Light side might be weak, but a lot of Dark powers are geared toward intimidation over direct damage.
Lightning and Destruction are awesome, of course.
Absorb is actually a pretty awesome power because it's able to absorb blaster fire and lightsaber
Blasters are fairly weak energy sources given Absorb's cost, what if someone uses explosives or Concussion Rifles? And I don't recall Absorb taking in lightsaber damage, that's pretty broken don't you think? >_>;

Meh, I've pretty much decided all prequel-related material is non-canon. It's just fanfiction at this point, even by Lucas himself.
i actually like the EU much more than the films, the emperor as main villain sucked and Anakin is kinda boring, the KOTOR Series proofed that there are much better Stories
to tell and cooler and stronger villains and heroes.

Tie Fighter is one of my most favourite games ever, and it is still the best flight simulator of all time.
True, Palpatine was a boring villain.
But he was a kick-arse boss.
