Funi subs are getting even crappier. Since when does Smoker call Luffy by his name? Many lines felt weird.

Watching the Funimation subs. Luffy voice sounded like it was cracking when he was yelling. Also he looked awesome when he said "I'M YOUR BROTHER!!". Looking at the art and animation of the "Gum Gum Giant Rifle" it looked like the person who did "Gum Gum Giant Thor Axe" was involved in that part somehow, as it looks kind of sketchy like the one in Strong World.
Since when does Smoker call Luffy by his name? Many lines felt weird.
This also, I mean you can't even hear him say "Luffy" in any part of that.

I had fun watching this. Too bad this arc's moving at a chapter an episode, though - I'd rather have way more implied filler, to be perfectly honest.

Geez, I'd expect much more quality control from FUNi than this. No, Smoker does not say Luffy's name, and no, Jango and Fullbody are clearly not just ''getting tired''.
That said, pretty good episode. But again, why does the voice director or whoever think all of these kkkrkhhggrekkk's are necessary? It ruins these reaction shots. If you're so allergic to silence, at least have Ace gasp, breathe heavily, or something else that doesn't sound so silly.
Gigant Rifle was cool at the end; I thought it went beyond Gigant Thor Axe in terms of sketchy. That was really neat, though I would've chosen a different piece of music for that, though.

Episode was meh. I was actually looking forward to this episode since Sengoku was going to reveal Luffy's lineage, but the execution of that scene was pretty anti-climactic… seemed of of a "oh right, and he's Dragon son =.=" than the "HE'S DRAGON'S MOTHER FUCKING SON!!!" that I was hoping for.

Awesome fast paced ep! Even Fullbody and Jango got their 2 minutes. I lol'd when Luffy ended up distracted by the explosion. The gear third scene was awesome!
My only complaint is that Ace's emotional sound effects are getting to be seriously excessive. There are so many other ways they could use to express Ace's emotions.

I didn't mind the KKKKGGGGKGKGKG in this episode. There were fewer of them, and they were softer.
I loved how everyone got reinvigorated once Luffy joined the battle. The fight between him and all the vice admirals were great. It's wonderful to have an episode nicely animated throughout the whole episode. Man, when was the last time that happened?
Next week's looking good too.

Nah, he used it once before. A while back (can't remember exactly when) it was only for a moment like this time.

I'll be a bit honest, I was waiting for the whole "I'm you're little brother!" to be animated ever since I read it in the manga. I was a little disappointed about it. Overall, the episode was enjoyable.

Don't like the dialog changes. Where are Mihawk&Don Flammingo's comments. Whole scene was very anti-climatic like others have said.
Most disappointed with Marco's comment changed from "Roger that" to "alright". Thought that would be a more eventful scene.
I know they are just filler scenes but its a little disappointing how weak the New World captains look in their fights. All of them are supposed to be stronger than the M.Trio or Lucci, especially the named ones like Squado, but they fight like they aren't even superhuman.

Pretty good episode. I'm pleased they are actually naming more of the commanders than they did in the manga. Also nice that we acutally got a reaction outta Joz & some others to Luffy especially xince they didn't do so in the manga,

That was some of the best animation I've ever seen in an episode. It was amazing all the way through, and that gear 3 was some movie 10 shit.
Too bad about the FUNi subs… I noticed a few things myself that were a bit iffy.
I'd love to watch this in 1080p sometime, fantastic episode.
