Most Overrated/Underrated Character

There was a thread about this on 2007, but I don't think it should be necro'd, and besides, it didn't mention Underrated characters

So, in your opinion, which characters are Overrated and which characters are Underrated?
Bear in mind that Over Rated =/= Bad and Under Rated =/= Perfect

Over Rated in Power: Moria, Perona, Boa Hancock, and to a certain extent, Kuma (I lost count of all the times I heard Kuma can just teleport and blast someone away for the quick victory, without taking in account any other thing)
Over Rated in Quality of Character: Moria, Perona, Mihawk, Smoker, Whitebeard, Rayleigh

Under Rated in Power: Jimbei, DoFlamingo, Crocodile
Under Rated in Quality of Character: Boa Hancock

I can't really anybody ever saying Moria had such a incredible power. Even though his laziness probably prevented the potential of it from being like Pride's.

overrated in terms of hype blackbeard (i know hes important i just have a hard tiem getting myself to care about him)

underrated zoro despite bounty people forget that zoro is right behing luffy when it comes to power he is just always freaking hurt

Ah, that was probably Beka. Anyways, I think Enel is pretty overrated here in terms of power.

Perona's underrated because she's 1) a distance killer and 2) shorts out the Manly Spiral Energy of normal heroes (sorry, too much TTGL).

Eneru wouldn't last two rounds against Arlong on his home turf. Overrated.

Most overrated, without any shred of doubt, would be Whitebeard. Followed by Enel.

I was about to say that Law and Bepo are pretty much the definition of overrated, but then I remembered Benn Beckman. You could say the same for Killer and a few other Supernovas, the rest of Shanks's crew, Dragon, and the new Blackbeard pirates - not that they aren't powerful or interesting, just that we haven't really seen enough of them to justify how much we like them. Can't wait to see whether they'll live up to their reputations, particularly Law.

Underrated: I was thinking Magellan, but forumgoers actually like him pretty well. Some other characters aren't really underrated, but feel like underachievers: Marco, Joz, and Robin, for example, really ought to be more capable than they've been - they aren't portrayed as particularly incompetent, but they get schooled unreasonably easily.

I wouldn't say that considering the number of people that considers him to be by far the weakest Shichibukai. In term of power, I think Enel is overrated, Whitebeard isn't, he was the strongest man in the One Piece world

Overrated: Zoro (in this chapter he showed how far was him from Mihawk)
Underrated: Robin (she can kill you in 2 seconds), Shanks (he's a Yonkou, almost WB level IMAO)

I think Crocodile is overrated. He has a lot of fans, and they expect him to kick ass a lot on any situation he get to, yet he lost to a gear-less luffy. I also feel that luffy is overrated, as well as everyone who fashioned Haoshoku (maybe bcoz, haki concept is still immature. When I learn more about haoshoku I may have a change of heart). Sanji is very underrated. Also, Coby is starting to become really overrated.

Over Rated =/= Bad
Under Rated =/= Perfect

And I think this thread just got a lot more productive, discussing opinions is what we create threads in a forum for, isn't it?

My opinion of underrated and overrated is not judged by this forum. Oh no no, this forum is actually reasonable, im talking about the OP fans in my family (cuzs, friends, brothers), and other places on the internet…
Overrated: Zoro (I've seen posters in other places that believe that Zoro is stronger than Luffy... enough said.
Underated: Sanji (so underrated that some call him "useless", and dont believe me that people call them "monster trio," but it should be "monster duo")

Overrated, hmpf… Zoro. I'm tired of Zoro's fans saying that he is the best and the strongest (exactly like SonPan said, sic!). When it comes to choose underrated I would choose Ussop. Seriously, he didn't have any important fight since Alabastra Arc. After he got his ass kicked by Luffy I kinda feel sorry for him. Also Chopper is sorta underrated.

Most over rated : Buggy . I know alot of people joke around about it , but some were genuinely serious when they claim he's gonna be super storng . Even though his flashy new move couldn't beat a single gorilla while Luffy pummeled through 8 or so effortlessly .

That's part of the joke , but some people don't get it .

Also…...I realy kinda hate his design . The original , without the nose , looked far more intimidating .

I'll probably sound like a bandwagon-jumper, but Ace I really find to be overrated, and it really hit me during episode 459, or whichever one it was that covered his backstory. It would have been nice if we actually saw some of the many great feats he's praised for. Can't take a character seriously when most of his ability is told and not shown.

her bounty is a reflection of the danger she poses to the world government because of her knowledge of the void century. remember she had 78 million as a harmless little girl. that being said, your actually right. fans of and characters in the manga seem to regard her as one of the most dangerous strawhats, when she seems capable of beating only fodder.
