Chapter 598: The Direction the Wind Blows The color spread features the silhouettes of the nine Straw Hats staring into the sunset, with the Sunny docked in front of them.

Makino continued to wash dishes as the saloon door swung open, shocking the barmaid.
"Long time, no see," Makino smiled.

The person's silhouette stepped forward, closing the door behind it.
"Whatever," the voice of the silhouette replied. "The boys and I need some grub."

The older woman scowled at the particularly peppy young barmaid, who readied Dadan's order.

"I assume you've heard," Dadan said solemnly. "That Blackbeard's sure causin' a ruckus. He took out half of Shanks's men just the other day."
"Hm," Makino sighed, her smile faded. "Please be okay, Luffy... and Garp-san, too."
The scene switched to Orange Town, where Mayor Boodle sat in front of his house, a somewhat larger Chou Chou kneeling next to him.

"Look, Chou Chou," Boodle pointed with his pipe. "Those clouds in the distant. They're like to be ominous."

"Mom," Rika sighed. "Don't you feel it?"
"Feel what?" the mother scowled.

"Rika… How many times must I tell you, you aren't hearing voices.
In the town of Syrup Village, the slightly taller Usopp Pirates ran into Kaya's Clinic, panic in their voices.
"What is it?" Kaya asked as the boys barged into the room, where she was with a patient.

The scene switched to an island filled with rare animals. A longer-beared Gaimon looked out to the ocean as he let out a sigh.

The shadow of two men gleamed on the rocks beneath them, the ocean crashing all around them.
"Hey, Bro," one of the voices asked. "Think we're good enough yet to take on one of those Supernovas?"
"Not likely," the other responded, his chin resting on his hand. "But hey, we gotta get to the New World, Bro. That's where all the action is.

"Yeah," Johnny replied with a cocky grin. "I can't wait to sink my sword into the Mad Monk's heart."
The two men jumped from the rocky cliff onto a small ship beneath them.
In the meantime, the sound of chopping and boiling could be heard in a kitchen as several cooks chattered amongst themselves.

The sound of the erupting volcano ignited another battle between the two Elbaf warriors.
"Take this!" Dorry shouted as he slammed his fist forward.
"Why don't you?" Broggy replied as he swung his fist back.
