Hi! I've known about Arlong Park for a while now (which One Piece fan hasn't heard of it?) and finally decided to join up.
I follow the manga and anime. And I fell in love with One Piece from episode one.
I started watching it when I was a freshman in high school, and the anime was (at the time) currently in the Skypiea arc. I happened to catch the 4kids version on t.v. (while it was on mute) and decided to check it out in Japanese. The animation and characters looked fun, and an acquaintance had previously recommended it, so I thought, "why not?" It took me a few weeks to catch up on all the episodes, but I was totally hooked.
I started reading the manga when I got sick of the slow pacing of the Thriller Park arc on the show. I actually left OP alone for while before coming back because of it.
I've only recently joined the fandom when I started editing on the One Piece Encyclopedia in April and started listening to the One Piece Podcast. Since then I've been poking around at various sites, and LJ communities. I'm not a terribly good forum goer, so I may disappear every now and then, but regardless, it's nice to meet you all!
