Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused and wanted to hear your understanding of the belief expressed by some OP characters that dreams do not die .

What do they mean by this ? & Do they share this conviction for the same or different reasons ?

      "A man's dream will never die" .
-Someone discussing Blackbeard's death seemed to believe that he meant a man with a dream never lets it get destroyed and fights again and again for it hence it does not die.

But if the above is how all the characters who expressed this belief understand it then how about when the character dies & cnt fight anymore ?because Dr Hiluluk also said :

"Even after I'm gone my dream will come true "
He cnt fight anymore so the above understanding would not work here right?
Did he claim this then because he understood it as inherited will? as in He knew Chopper would inherit his will therefore he claimed his dream wnt end ?

The inherited will understanding seems the easiest but then Blackbeard creeps in my mind and I dnt think he proclaimed his conviction thinking som1 would inherit his will if he died :wassat: ?

so thats why im wondering what the characters mean by this and if they claim this belief for the same reasons? My post is kind of messy I hope some1 understands and shares a view 😁

Agreement. It means, when you have dream, you can die for it and still it lives. It lives long as it will be remembered as dear puoskari say so.

But then, when dream is done, like in Norland's one. Then it dies by living in memories.

This = true dreams never die, dreamers age is never done.

SeriusReader thank u for replyin' so you dnt think that it has to do with the person getting up and fighting for the dream not to be crushed.

Its more to do with the dream itself. As long as someone remembers the dream of that person it dsnt die. And, friend or foe, someone is bound to remember it if u voiced your dream once in ur life. I seeeee so for example for Hiluluk chopper Dr kureha , etc wnt forget his, and blackbeard well his teamates, luffy,W.G etc wont forget his, so ka.
If you realise the dream too it dies but lives in memories, thank you for sharing your understanding, ciao.
