You guys are missing the point of this soon to be locked thread. The OP meant to discuss battles that have already happened not made up battles.
Akainu vs Ace: I now think that Akainu's bullshit about his heat being hotter is actually just him using Armor Drive when he punched Ace.
Kaku vs Zoro: My favorite fight of the series. Kaku's innovative fighting style to me proved him to me why he was he was rated higher than Jyabura. When you have a Zoan Devil's Fruit in order to be truly great you have to do things with your animal and half-animal form that no other person can do with out it. Jyabura was a failure to me because he didn't use his wolf form for anything but a strength increase. Kaku and Lucci (to an extent) used Zoan powers to an extent we had never seen in the series before, and Kaku came up with it all on the fly.

Buggy and Zoro should have fought back in the Buggy arc. They only had a couple skirmishes, and it would be great to see how Zoro would fight him (maybe using the blunt edge of his swords).

I think that Akainu's killing of Ace did involve Haki. The "lava is hotter than fire" thing didn't sit well with me (after all, logias are intangible, you can only prevent them from becoming that way, not hit them when they are). We've seen joke or false explanations of how people can hurt others (Garp's Fist of Love for example) that seem to be more likely to be haki now.
