This is the slap and the brawl.
Barca deserved the win, Mourinho is a whiner despite being a good coach. Pepe is a punk that deserves a red card every other game for his hard fouls. Honestly all the Portuguese in RM aren't a positive influence aside from CR, but he's a duche as well.

In all honesty, I hated Cristiano with a passion. But now, I don't see him as the more "hateable" player in Real Madrid. I don't like to say this cause I know there are some Madrid supporters here, but seriously, this is not normal. Arbeloa acted like a criminal the other day. Pepe, every match. Sergio Ramos, the same. Marcelo injured Pedrito in one of the dirtiest moments in the whole match. Today, Cristiano Ronaldo asked his teammates to HELP him pressuring Barcelona's game, but Mourinho's orders were clear: don't play football. Just stale time and play ultradefensive. I could tell Cristiano was not happy at all with that developement, cause he is happy with the ball in his feet and doing his stuff. So I kinda felt him, in a sense.
Anyway, Mourinho today crossed the line. He said Guardiola should be ashamed of 2009's Champions League because of Stamford Bridge. And that this year's will also be a shameful Champions.Fuck it, Mou. How easily you forgot last year's Semifinals, with Olegario Benquerença, a fellow portuguese referee, gave you 1 goal in a clear offside, and completely forgot to give Barça a much deserved penalty to Alves. Oh, and in Barcelona's field, Bojan's goal that gave Barça the Semifinals was incorrectly invalided. So you should remember much better than this.
-
It's not so much hate for CR as much as annoyance, he's been snobbing Kaka since day one, and hasn't been giving Benzema the passes he deserves, which is why Mourinho considers him a sucky striker.
If he was more diplomatic he would use his ability to sway some of Mourinho's decisions to play with Kaka and Ozil instead of Di Maria (who takes too many wild shots rather than pass) and have a chance against Barca.

Barcelona is one the best team EVER, period.

Barcelona is one the best team EVER, period.
This.
Also, it's probably been said before but I feel sorry for people playing against Messi because it's like everyone but Messi is stuck in slo-motion.
-
Hehe finally football is not that hard, just pass the ball to each other, advance on the field and score:ninja:! A
beautiful match nothing to add.
-

Yeah, seeing them play today I wonder what would it take to beat them when they're playing their best. Congratulations for their victory, they certainly deserved it. In fact, they're already heavy favorite from the very beginning that there's almost no tension yet - and this is also what pisses me off the most, they're already amazing enough that they don't have to resort to laughable theatrics like in the match against Madrid. Oh, and kudos to Manchester United too, sure they don't play without mistakes but unlike 2 years ago now they can go home with their heads held high, as they've done their very best.

It's surely not that easy.
But anyway, it's such a shame. Manchester managed to pull off a great start (at least the first ten minutes) but then Barcelona just took over or actually started to play. Even though it's sad that Manchester lost, I have to admit that their opponent played a great game. It was pretty obvious that Messi would be the Man of the Match but therefor Villa's goal was without a doubt the most beautiful thing in the game.
Actually there's nothing left but to say that they really deserved it. All in all a great finale. -
man u got owned
just saying
again
-
yeah, but did you expect anything else?
most of us knew were going to lose from the start. barcelona are the top dogs right now, and it takes something special to beat them.absolutely nothing wrong with getting owned when you have freaking barca coming at you :)
and this time wasn't nearly as bad as last time. this time we can walk away with our heads held high because we didn't have an awful game.
Rather, barca were in top gear. -

Rather, barca were in top gear.i was expecting a match and not just a beating
man u didnt do shit , they had like 3 chances maybe and scored one , barca outclassed them in each way
-
outclassed is right.
barca are amazing, so it's no surprise what happened. like, at all.
-
Stuck a bet on 3-1 and got a £90 return. As well as that, Man Utd didn't win which was very good news to me… so I HAD to go out last night.
-
That was a very humbling experience for us yet again. As a life long Utd fan, that was just depressing to watch. Same mistakes made yet again. Rooney was fantastic…...
Barca are an awesome side. No shame in losing to them, i only wish we coulda put on a better performance. We need to rebuild this side - especially the midfield area. That has been a weakness for a good few years now. -
anyone following the matches like belgium-turkey and such now?
-
Watched the game between Madrid and Bayern. Seeing Zidane again was refreshing I must say and the game was actually fun to watch.
Of course there was too many goals in this match but the highlight has to be this one:
-
FREDDY ADU sighting in today's gold cup semi against Panama. U.S. vs Mexico on Saturday at the Rose Bowl, which I AM GOING TO!!!
-
FUCK YES USA 2-0
-
FUCK YES USA 2-0
I don't even watch football regularly, but I have to support my country, so fuck you.
Can't believe they're sucking so bad, though, since from what I've heard and seen they had been playing great the whole Gold Cup.
-
Fucking bullshit on dude kicking Adu in the face and not getting a card
Also, Chicharito was so offside on that second goal
-
Chicharito didn't make that second goal. It was Guardado, Chicharito was smart to leave the ball go in instead of having touched it.
-
the lack of calls on Mexico is pissing me off, but great game nonetheless
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
We need to get rid of Howard. Dude can't cut it anymore.
Excellent goal by Dos Santos
-
I wouldn't blame you if you hated us or our country, but I know you aren't like that
4 - 2.. nice. It's funny seeing the stadium 90% Mexicans 10% Americans, but it is So-Cal.
-
Adu has given us so many chances to score. Great game from him
And the only country I hate is Qatar for buying the WC. I hope we get put in the same bracket with them.
-
It's probably just as well the US lost.
We don't care about soccer anyway, even if we had won.
-
cough football cough .

Anybody watching the woman soccer championship?
I always thought they would play 6:3..4:0..2:5 and such results.
But so far every game was rly close(at least in the result). Now coming USA vs North Korea…i was shocked to see that North Korea is 6th in the world.
Could be a good match.. -
I can see why North Korea is ranked 6th in the world. They gave the US a great run, and were just unlucky at some points. I always feel kinda bad when a North Korean team loses, though.
-
I don't follow the woman championship (Oi.) however apparently the NK team was… wait for it... struck by lightning. Yeah.
-
Lightning hitting a football field in close proximity to players is something that has happened before
and there is a third one that was on Yahoo's frontpage for a while, but I can't locate it.It doesn't stop them from playing, but they do tend to suffer burns, trauma and often times shock if the lightning somehow travels through their body, after hitting the pitch.
Do I believe the coach was lying? Maybe, but people claiming lightning hitting someone is rarer than winning the lottery as an excuse haven't done research on the subject. -
True. We might never know. I'm sure being struck by lightning only affects you in the 2nd half. Must've been hard playing when burned which they obviously were. And I'm sorry they had to play, and very sorry they lost. Good excuse for Dear Leader though. Hmm, I thought he controlled the weather… I digress... Please excuse my skepticism, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but why wasn't this reported in earlier? It wasn't until they lost it came out. In this case I just don't find it believable. :ninja:
-
I'm not claiming he's telling the truth with 100% facts, but you can't just claim he's lying because he's from Korea. I have no further reason to defend his word however, so just take what I posted with a grain of salt, such occurrences DO happen, I don't know if that is the case here however.
-
Oh… I can totally see how wrong that came out. Sorry I didn't mean to imply that it's because they are from Korea... Though now that I re-read it seems a lot like that... Wow... I just can't be objective... Sorry.
It's more the fact that they didn't tell it until after the game that annoys me. I mean there must be some kind of procedure when this happens and it just seems... Argh! Okay, I'll stop.
I don't doubt that lightning happens more often than we expect tho. Especially not after Sullivan... Poor man. -

Do I believe the coach was lying? Maybe, but people claiming lightning hitting someone is rarer than winning the lottery as an excuse haven't done research on the subject.Just last week there was a dozen guys playing football (soccer) during the day just outside the national stadium here in my country, and they were struck by lightening, half a dozen ended up at the hospital and two of them where killed by it.
-
Anyone here a fan of MLS?
Also, yeah the US v Mexico match was really hard to watch as a US supporter in that match. Going up 2-0 and then giving up 4 goals was really embarrassing.
-
I usually catch Galaxy and Portland Sounders (and there awesome mascot) games. Cannot wait for Man U to come back on July 27th for the All Star game and hopefully see Chicharito score more awesome goals like last year.

Sounders are a really good team. Did you see them beat Red Bulls 4-2? That was an awesome game.

Anyone is watching the sub 17 world cup?
Mexico just passed to semifinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! celebracion -
I liked what I saw in both Mexico and Germany in that tourney so far.
Watching the Copa America, I have to say I'm a little disappointed by Uruguay and Brazil so far. Haven't seen how Mexico vs Chile is going, but after that Gold Cup match (which was half meltdown from a disappointing US team and half amazing comeback from Mexico) I expect a good result.
-
Just watched the women's worldcup, and hell yes, Germany won against France! That match was really exciting!
-
The copa america has been really disappointing thus far. Argentina have just been playing so lazy.
-
Y méxico pasó a la final vs uruguay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nonononono, Sergio Batista is a horrible coach, it is not the players fault.
-
Nonononono, Sergio Batista is a horrible coach, it is not the players fault.
That's probably the main reason why, letting Maradona go was a terrible idea.
-
I'm not a fan of him, however:
-
Sergio used 3 DMC's, utterly retarded, Argentina is not Greece, they should not play defensively.
-
It's called the Argentina Diamond, use it!
-
Tevez is obviously out of shape, Aguero is on form and since he was 19 has had better chemistry when playing next to Messi, let Kun start.
I hope Uruguay wins.
