100 Pieces of the Puzzle: The One Piece Character Retrospective

In celebration of the "OMGTIMESKIP!", over the next four weeks, I'll be personally looking back at 597 chapters of One Piece goodness and compiling a list of 100 characters that I deem to be the most influential to the manga. I'll do my best to be as neutral as possible, so go easy on my choices. Each character will be accompanied by a summary of their story and a view of my perspective on the characters. I encourage everyone to make their own Top 100 and reveal it in the same pattern I do.

I hope you'll join my in this endeavor when I reveal my picks for 100-96 this Monday. I'll then offer five more a weekday, leading up to the release of 598.

With that said, I once more encourage you guys to come up with your own lists and join me in this endeavor.

Another thought, what if we had everyone that wanted to, post here with their top 10-20 most influential and go from there?
Would be more meaningful if the community had that kind of input.
