- Atlus released a new preview trailer of the NDS RPG Radiant Historia, the game will have a quest system, you can complete these quests without affecting the main story. THere is also a parallel scenarios system, when you changed the past in a time travel episode, the time splits into original history and alternative history, and also lead to little fragments in future.
Okay, nobody breath. Just cross your fingers and wait patiently.

Apparently this was put together by a lot of the primary people who worked on Radiata Stories, you can tell the influences straight away. Yoko Shimomura's on the music.

I LOVED Radiata Stories, so I'm hoping this turns out great!
Well, looks like I'm going to be playing this one.
Hope it doesn't turn out like the other DS RPGs I have that I never finished (not that they were bad but that they didn't engage me enough and other high profile releases ended up pushing them to the back of my mind).
Definitely done my the same team that works under tri-Ace. Using the font they ALWAYS use and everything. I may get this if the quest system has as much depth as the "Friend List"(ncps joining your party) in Radiata. The battle engine reminds me of Valkyrie Profile too.
Also loved Radiata Stories.
Seeing that the battles are of a strategic type, my interest has only risen.
Same here i was a big fan of Radiata Stories, well i like games where you recruit a lot of characters Suikoden,etc so im really pumped for this game :D.

Hate to double post but UK Official Nintendo Magazine has this down as a Spring 2011 release.
So looking kinda likely it'll be released overseas. Yay!

Looks great, and there's quite a pedigree of talent on it, but that's cutting it way too close to my Okamiden release for my tastes… and what with Pokemon, Dynasty Warriors 7, and possibly even Gundam Musou 3 all due around that time... it'll be low on my list of "must get" priorities.

since it never and doesn't look to be getting a UK release at all I decided to import this thanks to captain usopp.
It arrived the other day. Been dipping in and out of it (damn pokemon) but absolutely loving it thus far.
My copy's due any day now. Might even be today but if it's not then I'll have to wait at least the bloody weekend.
If not today, I may consider Pokemon and wait away until it arrives.

Fun game but could've used a bit more work in some places haven't touched it or Diabolical Box since I got Black.
Just got this yesterday and played it on the way to work today.
First impressions are pretty good, as it does a number of things that a lot of rpg's don't (but should).
-you can see & avoid enemies
-inns take a couple of seconds to rest in and you don't wind up upstairs.
-text is skippable(which I'm guessing was done because of the game's central hook)
I like the herding battle system so far.
I bought this game the day it was released in the US. Very fun, I enjoyed it.

got around to seriously playing this. Enjoying it a lot. Quite long non-action scenes but the battle system I'm loving.

The actual amount of things you can do in this game isn't that huge which is somewhat disappointing.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

Well I'm still enjoying it. Played about 6 hours or so.
Although I gotta admit that about 3 and a half of those hours is just talking.

Eh. That's alright. The whole time travel(with great dailiness) is what interest me the most here.
Finished it. I had to grind for the first time ever a bit due to the final boss. Needed a few more accessories and armor drops to make the cheap tactics I was using work(one involves destroying the final boss's second stage before it drained Mana).
Here's my overall opinion:
+Great script.
+Neatly structured story. The plot isn't great but it works well
+Battle system. You may not be able to use grids, but you can manipulate enemy's positions, and change turns at will. This makes the combat system work. My only gripe is there isn't many enemies that use tactical formations.
+The music. Aside from the field theme that kept recycling, I love the battle and boss themes.
+May be a flaw to some, but there are some nice difficulty spikes. Specifically Chapter 4.
+Strong mature main lead. Stoke continued to impress me throughout the whole game with his badass moments and unintentionally funny moments.
-Not being able to switch out Stoke from the main party. I wanted to experiment with more team combos… Not a big deal though.
-There isn't alot of enemy sprites. Just alot of color swaps.
-Some of the enemy names and terms had my scratching my head. It's like they ran out of names for the recycled enemies at one point.
-I wished there were different animations for most of the skills you learned.
-Stalling. There's a few of characters that annoyed the hell out of me because they kept on giving vague hints to important plot points. I understood Raynie and Marco's reasons, but Aht and Eurca's reasons to keep that big secret was a bit absurd. It got annoying when they kept bringing it up only to refuse to get to the point.
I really want to play this. It's probably the game I most am interested in at the moment. It is the next game I want to get. Earlier in the year I talked about being interested in playing a JRPG that was the most anime-esque cliche kind of thing, so I played a Tales game.
And with that urge vanquished, I am dying to play this, which I hear is a very akin to a classic-styled SNES RPG.

I tried not to spoil much, let alone anything. But yeah, it does give off a vibe of an oldschool console-styled RPG.
Wow, getting the full ending & 236/236 took a lot longer then I thought it would.
Well worth it though, best RPG I've played in ages. Battle system was new & fun.

This game is nothing short of QUALITY. Graphics, music, story, battle system, I enjoyed them all! The old-school console style of it all certainly multiplied the fun I had as well.
After Radiata Stories and this, from now on I'll be on the lookout for any of the works from these guys.
I played this pretty much the entire time the forum was down XD Loving it loads. Although I been away for a week and then went back on it and am finding it difficult to get back into. I suppose that's the norm with a game this epic.
