Most of my thoughts and general discussion posted in spoiler thread, but here's some new things.
Drake has the same eyes as Mihawk when he's in dinosaur mode.
And I'm putting this out here first. I just thought of it now and I don't think anybody has said this yet.
GUY DOFLAMINGO IS WORKING FOR IS PWNGOAT.
I'm never right but just the thought that it's him made me giddy. It's definitely wild spectulation.

Wonder with Choppers new research if he'll be able to make some rumble balls or w/e for the other fruit users. Think that would be cool. But i don't really see that happening. Gah. It's chapters like this that wish there was more chapter releases weekly. Also looks like the marines might not let BB run around so freely. over all i enjoyed the chapter. Good luck Sanji.

I love the way Kuma sent them all to places that were really relevant to their particular skills. If it was just a random thing, it'd be too convenient but this is more of a plan. While I predicted most of the ways that the Straw Hats would benefit from their environments, I didn't see the okama teaching Sanji new recipes, though it seems kind of obvious now in retrospect.
It just makes One Piece seem even more like a JRPG. The party has been split up, training new skills, before being reunited again. Some of the best parts of JRPGs are when the party is split up because it's interesting to see them have to work alone (or in smaller groups) and of course it makes you appreciate it even more when they're together. Assuming that Sanji is taught some "stat changing" new recipes, it makes it even more JRPG-like.
I hope this Jewellery Bonney plot thread doesn't just end with her somehow escaping. I'm very interested to see how Akainu uses her; he can't really use her as bait because who would come? But he obviously won't just kill her or let her go either. I think it was a great chapter though I can understand how some people think it's not that great. The chapters since the end of Marineford have all been transitional. They're serving to set up the next arc rather than being an arc in their own right - more like a montage than an actual storyline.

Kaidou's island seems to have a mechanical theme. Maybe he has some partnership with Vegapunk or is even (probably not) Frankys dad..

Yeah, but Blackbeard has his entire crew and he's not above using them all to fight one man. The fodder Marines could have been pwned easily by Sanjuan Wolf.

Jeez the translation is horrible. They seem to have become fond of using 'big words' where they don't really belong…'Forsooth', 'Perfunctory','Mortal Coil', they decided to leave several place name boxes blank and even put in an F-bomb....I sense the SleepyFan influence creeping
