i know that story , still i think it is un lickely and even if it is true, he will only be mentiont in the end + if they left him alone on a island , he wasn't important
i honestly think it was a test to see how one piece would work as a mini arc series. He originally planned for op to be 100 chapters remember.
but he opted for longer arcs.
I'm sure that Gaimon has something of relevance to offer to the story.
Probably Juno is burried on the island of mixed animals. But Hirluk is Hirluk, no contest.

Gaimon is likable, but Hiruluk was just awesome. Incredibly memorable, especially when you consider how little panel time he had. Too bad I can't vote
