I got a Japanese game on my laptop a few days ago, and I can't really play it because all the text shows up as this: "‚͂҂ƂçŠO“@ƒAƒCƒi‚ÌV¥“ú‹L"]‚Í‚Ò‚Æ ‚çŠO“@ƒAƒCƒi‚ÌV¥“ú‹L"]‚çŠO“`@ƒAƒCƒi‚ÌV¥“ú‹L" or this: "…........" I thought changing my keyboard to Japanese would fix it, but nothing happened. Is there anyway I can fix this?

      Thanks in advance.

Depending on what OS you're using I should be able to help. On XP at least go to the Control Panel and then to Regional Options or something similar. Click around in the tabs (I'm running 7 atm so I can't give you an exact) until you find a checkbox that says "Install East Asian Languages". Check it and then press either apply or OK and it should work then.

Sorry, guys. It didn't work. I thought maybe I could get help here, and it didn't do anything, either. Not to mention this…

didn't display when I finished. Hope it's not something wrong with my computer…

You still see ANSI characters when you type japanese or chinese one? I would try to write something in word to test.
With that said you need to have the asian languages installed and you need Fonts that support asian characters.
A simple test would be to use "arial unicode" and try to type something.
