Hey everybody I'm The Darkness Within(Obvious?). I typically avoid any forum that is based around a single anime but in this case it's the greatest thing to ever be created by a man with a 2 inch penis so I made an exception. I started watching OP about 2 months ago and it easily outclasses Bleach and Naruto and now that I'm all caught up I can't resist the urge of discussion, so I hope to be a nice addition to the community. Let me know your first impressions and if you already hate me you can go fuck yourself.

Since OP is so story heavy I was thinking about resorting to the manga but I'm concerned that the experience might feel watered down without animation, should I read the manga for the sake of getting ahead in the story and continue watching the anime as well?

Doing both is what I do, for it allows for the full One Piece experience; the manga is the canon story, yet the anime adds more emotion to some scenes and brings the characters to life.

oh welcome to ap forums!! and the manga chapter the anime is at is….i would say Chapter 551. the latest one piece episode has just a part of that chapter. oh and i got to say avoid this forum if your not caught up with the manga & anime all the way up to date because theres mad spoilers everywhere like in people avatars/signatures/etc... glad to know you love One Piece, adding another fan to the One Piece Community.

the manga surpasses easily the anime.
from time to time it`s cool to see luffy and stuff animated, but the manga is better than the anime.

Oh man, I just did a all nighter on the manga(Up to about 584.) and I have to say the experience was incredible, unlike the anime everything felt so smooth and well paced. Oh and one more thing…..DOFLAMINGO'S SPEECH FOR THE FUCKING WIN!!!! That was truly one of the most memorable scenes in all of manga/anime history.
EDIT: I just released that I can't participate in the character tournaments because of my newbage. Why not just do something along the lines of new members are allowed to participate but they to have to agree to have spyware installed on their computer that only checks if any other accounts log in?
