Colbert will be on Letterman next Tuesday night.

Great, Comedy Central Website now blocks my region. Is there a cheap way around that? Hadn't even the chance to see last weeks Colbert Report.
Maybe some other website streams the Daily Show and CR?
-
What the…..why are they doing that now all of a sudden?

Just download the torrents, the website sucks ass. Constantly lagging, the stupid commercials for their awful shows, it's just easier via torrents.

"Give them an opportunity for proper paying! No! Lets block the Users overseas instead." This is like, yeah the music industry all over again… So they have driven me into "illegal" actions. I give torrent a try, thanks for the hint.

Are there torrents for the old episodes too though? I reallly enjoyed watching those, too (especially during the Bush years :sad:so much good snark I
m missing out on). I
ve tried using a Proxy server now, but since I have no clue about this sort of thing, I just can`t get it to work. Sigh.EDIT: Nevermind, seems I managed to solve the problem myself
-
Wow, I apparently take these shows for granted. Miss them all the time, don't care about the backlog. Outside of maybe Jon's 9/11 speech, I can't think of too many eps I want to backtrack and rewatch. Funny stuff, sure, but…

Sure, just tracking specific episodes would be a bitch because of the sheer volume of episodes.

I follow both shows religiously. Makes up for the fact that I missed about 80% of their entire careers.

So Ferguson is leaving in December and may be replaced by Neil Patrick Harris: http://t.co/MyvvlVHoef
-
Maybe Ferguson can take over the Colbert Report and they can just switch.
-
Man, I'm going to miss Craig when he leaves. Neil Patrick Harris could be a great replacement.
-
Ooooookaaaaay . . . . . . . .
What does this mean for his acting career?

It'll go the way of Jimmy Fallon's acting career.
-
I wonder how many times Kristen Bell will get herself on the show in the next 8 months
Anyways, whoever replaces Craig has some long socks to fill

Socks, a skeleton and a throughbred racehorse.

I don't want to hear that. Neil Patrick Harris is way better than Jimmy Fallon.
-

Apparently Ferguson wanted his show to end before Letterman's retirement and this was just the right time. He wants to do other things with his life.
-
“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’s” Larry Wilmore has been tapped to host “The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore,” a new Comedy Central show to air in the 11:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday timeslot currently occupied by soon-to-be “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert.
Well, figured it would be someone from within the show. I… guess Willmore is the funniest of the remaining correspondents? But generally not very funny... relying very much on Jon playing oblivious straightman to his indignant black routine.
John Oliver was still by far the best and most obvious choice up until he got the HBO job.
-
Willmore and Hodgeman are the funniest left (with the occasional visit by Lewis Black). Jason Jones is the best of the regulars I guess. The rest are meh.
Samantha Bee is obnoxious. Her shtick is she does gross stuff and acts very crude which wouldn't be funny if a man acted that way but because she's a woman, it's supposed to be wacky. Like I get what she's doing, she's making the statement that women should be allowed to implement gross out humor as much as men and likes to shock sexists who think women should act like dainty little flowers…but she should try to be funny first.
Man, John Oliver really was way ahead of the rest.
-
John Oliver has official surpassed his predecessors. I knew it was coming after episode one, but I didn't expect it to be so cut and dry after only six episodes. (Though to be perfectly honest, the death penalty bit in episode two is what really cemented it for me, and the net neutrality segment last week gilded it.)
It's saying something that this fantastic bit was my least favorite part of last night's episode:
Rumor is HBO is considering increasing the shows runtime to a full hour, which would just be the best thing ever.
-
I've heard people complaining that the show was a Jon Stewart 2.0 and I could see it at the start but now, at this point, the show really seems to have found its voice and in my opinion has not only easily surpassed Jon Stewart but even Colbert.
It being an hour…hmm I'm not sure about that, more John Oliver is great but would the show's style of humor still work with that extra half hour without getting tedious?
-

Whyyyyyy can't he come back and take over Colbert's spot when Colbert leaves!!!!?
-
Yeah, from the videos I've watched he very very much aped Stweart's format and style, but he is bringing his own feel to it. Format of the show allows him to do like 13 minute monologues on subjects.
On the other hand, he has a full week to fine tune a script and pick subjects, the other shows are, well, daily.
Whyyyyyy can't he come back and take over Colbert's spot when Colbert leaves!!!!?
Because Comedy Central didn't jump on him after his stint hosting Daily, while HBO did?
To be fair, they probably had no way of knowing Letterman would be retiring and Colbert would be leaving so soon… I imagine if they had they might have tried a little harder to keep him... but then we might not be getting his show until late 2015.
-
So James Corden is replacing Craig Ferguson as the host of the late show. Not remembering the name, I looked him up and the first thing I said was "Craig from Doctor Who?"
Man I really wish Aisha Tyler got the gig but I will wait to see and judge.
-
Since when was she a candidate?
-
If they stood there and played for 10 minutes straight I would've watched.
-
How are you still alive?! You're like the real Bond!
:D What a fun game. I always got destroyed by my friends, though.
-
I memorized the invisible cheat code in multiplayer mode. Took a hell of a long time to put it in though while my brothers screen looked and hunted me down. xD
-
MAn, both Craig and Stephen will be ending their runs in the next two weeks. And then soon after that, Lettermna. Granted, Stephen is going to be filling that role, but I just don't think it'll be the same. Ah well.
Going out with a bang.
-
Craig Ferguson have been really great this week so far. I'm going to miss the show, once it ends on Friday.
-
Kendrick Lamar had an amazing performance on Colbert.
-
Is tonight the final Colbert?
-
Is tonight the final Colbert?
It is, indeed.
Very sad to see it go. I remember hearing the news and thinking "that's pretty far off", but time sure does fly.
-
Well, Stephen Colbert will back in like 6 months to take over Letterman's show.
Unfortunately, Stephen Colbear the character is being retired, so who knows what the actual guy is gonna be like when we see him again.
Craig Ferguson is gonna be the real loss.
Then again, I never remember to catch Conan Obrien either… but it just feels like he lost something when he got screwed over. He's still showing up but something is gone.
-
Yeah, I know. The loss of the character is the sad part for me though.
I'm sure he'll still be great whenever he takes over for Letterman though.
-
But he won't be "Colbert". sniff This is so wrong.
-
I just noticed.. but Comedy Central is doing a Colbert marathon right now.
-
-
Wow, the finale of the Colbert report is just keep getting better.
! Lincoln is really a unicorn.
This was a great finale for the series.
-
I do wish that final marathon had included a random early episode though instead of just the last week's. Woulda been kind of neat to throw in the first episode or an election night ep, or just some other random memorable episode.

The marathon was all day and they did play the first episode (along with several earlier episodes).
Anyway, its sad to see this show end. Still, it was a pretty good final send-off
-
Ahh. Well nevermind. I didn't notice until like… 8 oclock.
-
Craig Ferguson just broke the fourth wall.
! By revealing the voice of Geoff in person

I think I'm sadder with Ferguson going out than the Colbert Report…I think mainly because Colbert will be back.
EDIT: Robby, epic list.

Wasn't Erik Frandsen there as Hans Reinholz? I could have sworn I saw him in there a couple times.

The list by Vox is by no means comprehensive, and they mention that they probably missed a good amount in the article.
