I want to got to Turneranda now. xD
Late Night Talk Shows
-
-
I want to take my grandma to Applebee's now.
-
Loved tonight's episode. Cera is so awkward, and Bowen was hysterical!!
-
The episodes are getting better and better. I am happy now.

Michael Cera's pretty hilarious. I've never understood the mass hatred for him!
-
You may also be a bit biased.
Cera's a good guy, I don't particularly care for his acting, but you can tell from interviews that he's a decent chap. But… his days in acting are numbered. He is popular simply for appearing as a loser in a popular film during a time in Hollywood when his type of characters are ruling. Once that dies down, so will his career. He doesn't have the kind of acting skill or status to be more than a fad actor.
I don't figure him to be a big spender, and if that's so then he'll have no problem living a comfortable life with the money he's made on these roles even after the end of his career.
-
I love the fact that everyone confuses him with Eisenberg (sp?), because I do that all the time. It wasn't until I was half way into Zombieland that I realized that wasn't him.
And he's totally a nice guy. always polite in his interviews and always respectful. -
I've done the same, just not to that level of extreme.
-
i'm so glad all the people who assumed conan would die out immediately on basic cable were dead wrong. not only was his debut keeping up with stewart and leno, he totally crushed 'em. even when the ratings die down, it bodes well for his future ratings.
seems like all the coco hype got him an even larger fanbase.
-
I love Julie Bowen so much.
-
God, Conan is on fire tonight with that Harry Potter fan.
-
Man, I hope I win that car.
-
I dunno rather to enter the Pinetree contest or not…
-
The Blimp is now spying on Gary Buesy!!
-
Conan never leaves poor Gary alone.
Also, from a past episode I take it that "shit" is allowed to be said on TBS? Or at least once per program, as a second "shit" was censored. I was also surprised to see Conan use "bitching" in place of "complaining". He definitely seems to be more relaxed at TBS.
-
God, the stalking continues! xD
Also, I love tonights segment of the tiwan video.
-
Never heard or seen Jeggings. Now I have… on Conan. Leggings painted to look like jeans? What's the point?
Still hilarious tho.
-
-
@Kokutou:
And now his blimp is gone :cwy:
Goddamn Oprah…

Thread Revival
So I kinda died for a few seconds when I saw this:
6Ag9TLocFF4
THE VOICE.
"Socks and garters AND fishnets?"
"YEAH!"
Timm sporfles
-
Pfffffffft. Oh dear lord.
-
I just laughed my ass off at that.
The oven mitt continuously smoking was funny. And the Flash being Jealous was just great.
-
That is so awesome. I saw the original skit where he was drawn by Bruce Timm. I could not stop laughing!
-
I am shocked this thread wasn't bumped and talked about the original sketching skit last month.
-
This has nothing to do with The Flaming C, but it was one of the links there. And it made me sporfle.
Minty the Candy Cane
otyoC1xPByMIt's this kind of random goofiness that I missed from Conan.

This has been my ringtone since Christmas the way Conan was just shaking his head throughout the whole skit had me rolling.

Probably the best news show even though it's a comedy show.

Jon is cool, but today's kids think he's old and cragly.

OMG, I completely underestimated this clip. It's going to my Facebook~

I can`t imagine the Daily Show without Jon Stewart. He gives it its charme.
-
Him and Colbert are the only honest news shows out there.

Not news. Do not think of them as news. Do not think of them as informative resources with which you acquire information about the world.
-
They say that themselves, but there's the occasional news story where their coverage exceeds anything the actual news media does and some of their interviews are vastly superior to the various talking head shows. The 9/11 First Responders Bill is the prime example of the first and Stewart ripping into Jim Cramer is a great example of the latter.
-
Love the Daily Show, I've watched it since Kilborn hosted it. Stewart is pretty awesome. What people fail to realize, and this amazes me considering how long its been going…
COLBERT IS PLAYING A CHARACTER.
He's not actually like that. Obviously do a show day in and day out and the actor is going to seep in, but the extremes are an act. Its for laughs.
Jon on the other hand plays straightman and seems to be completely himself, he lets the correspondants be the goofballs.
But yeah, as good as the show is, and as often as it does more real reporting or integrity than other news shows... its STILL a comedy routine first. It apparently bothers Jon quite a bit that people consider it their only news source.
-
Honestly, there are times where I agree with Ubiq.
Their Rally to Restore sanity was such a good idea it's not even funny. That's what we really need in this country, is the end of political talking points and bullshit, and people actually trying to, I don't know, make things better?
-

To be fair I'd trust them over Fox News and CNN. And I honestly think there's better actual journalism involved half the time.
Though for true information none of them are sources.

Literally the truest thing I've ever seen on television.
-
I watch this show for comedy, and I get laughs out of it.
Then I read the paper or go on the internet for news.
Haven't been fooled or duped yet.
-
Just recently started watchin this on tv when i realised they show the worldwide edition in the UK. Love the guy, he's awesome. I also like that correspondant Jon oliver - he's great as well.

god. damn. I love Jon. Voice of our generation.

john oliver's an excellent stand-up comic as well! Have you seen "Terrifying Times?" If not, its real funny-check it out
-
Stewart vs George lucas is a must see as well.
-
-
Unfortunately, no but Stewart makes a lot of great points about Lucas shitty prequels in front of everyone.
-
I'm waiting for someone to take on Lucas in a lightsaber duel.
Preferably either Christopher Lee or Samuel L. Jackson.
-
This post is deleted!

Colbert did that, actually.
It was after like a month of having fans make up backgrounds in a green screen challenge where he used a lightsaber.
Doesn't appear to be on youtube, but it is on google video.

haha. Stephen is a man amongst men.

Even if it's a comedy show before anything else, they really are providing me with some news about the world. I guess I shouldn't call it a news show because of that though.
This is harder than I thought. Use one word out of a context that people don't like and everything gets screwed up.
-
The Daily Show is the news with comedy spin, but its not just that- a liberal comedy spin, and its like the show is being crafted to poke fun at conservatives. It's always refreshing to see Jon lampoon someone from his political side, which to his credit does happen.
-
Yup. Plus, in order to watch it you'd have to be smart enough to tell what's overexaggeration and being played for laughs. You'd be confused as to why it was on Comedy Central if you couldn't.
