For those of you who are extra curious, and for those who weren't even here, the forums were down the last eight or nine hours because of low disk space on the partition that contains the server's log files. The forums were handling the load fine, but the logs themselves ran out of space, which makes things that log (like the webserver) stop working. I contacted Jonas22 last night and he got everything sorted out first thing this morning, so no harm done.

Make sure to thank Jonas for being awesome and working hard for us even though he is basically never on the forums.

        Borrowing this thread…

There was a large explosion up the street from the data center we use. Following the explosion, there was an issue with one of the generator systems failing to start. The generator was restored, and shortly afterwords primary power came back online as well. Service was restored to UPS systems & network equipment affected, but some affected client services were still needing to be restored (ours). It took a while, but we are back online.

Borrowing this thread again. The forums were down for about 6 hours today, for those who care or those who were curious. Or, well, to be more accurate, it was the host that was down. There wasn't much we could do about it, but our apologies for any inconvenience anyway.

"Emergency Switch Upgrades" was the reason provided. Ha.
