Okay I'm off of work tomorrow and was planing on spending some of it on youtube watching a let's play I just started. Strange thing though. It's not there.

In fact according to youtube the only vid on his channel was a new one. This video explained why he had to mark all of his vids private. He had 1-2 dozen lets plays some over 100 vids long and almost 41,000 subs.

The reason it seems recently some accounts have be closed, and one troll has been taking credit and even predicted one before it happened, and was claiming to hit him next.

It seems the troll been going around false flagging vids so that youtube will close people's accounts.

He claims he doing it to get people mad at youtube since they don't have a justice system.

Sorry for ranting, but I need to vent.

Sounds like it sucks. I too am a fan of having Let's Plays on in the background while I do other stuff. Which game was it?

Actually your sig is a bit ironic. It was his earthbound and mother 3 let's play that got me into rpgs.

Have you tried alerting the Youtube staff about this troll? Even if he hasn't done much now, the longer you leave him the more damage he'll do.
I'm sure they'd take your complaint into consideration. You could even rally a team of other users who have problems with the troll. Do you know his username?

This has happened before with some other users on youtube. But it wasn't very high-scale.

I don't really know what a "let's play" is, but the troll is only being effective because you're letting yourselves get emotional over his antics.

He can't flag videos for random copyright infringement. YT ignores flags by non copyright holders and institutes a warning for all other kinds of "inappropriate content". This is the "warning: this video has been flagged by members of the YT community as having inappropriate content, viewer discretion is advised".

If people are getting their accounts closed, it is for stupid stuff like signing up for the paid partnership program using copyrighted material (a crime), so the only people to blame are the dumb uploaders.

"Let's Play" is the guy who makes those named: Chuggaconroy? cause if so that kids pretty dang cool, got me out of a lot of tough corners in Wind Waker.

A let's play is a playthough of a videogame while he does commentary about it, what's happening in his life or whatever. I doubt that has anything to do with copyright other then the occasional movie clip he throws in.

And to my knowledge he's not a paid partner and if he was they would have known about it long ago since that's all he does on that account. Heck he works the graveyard shift at a donut place or something.

Not always. One Youtube Partner, TheArchfiend, got banned a couple days ago for false copyright claims made by Shane Dawson fanboys. His videos were nothing more than him standing in front of a camera, talking. Maybe a few times he'd point the camera at his computer screen, but that's it.

i agree with the part that youtube dont have justice system. My tutorial videos got taken down which were not copyright or anything and i the worst part is that they dont reply.

I belive he's one of the accounts the troll is claiming to have gotten banned.

Getting banned without prior offenses usually warrants something far worse than a single infringement claim, and even then it would have to be Shane Dawson herself to litigate the claim.

I'm not a YT partner, so I don't know what extra rules/regulations apply to them, but he could have just as easily been violating the rules in some other form. I don't know.
