I enjoy laying in absolute dark listening to various atmospheric albums. I don't do that often enough…
Also, nothing beats staring into the darkness behind your eyelids, bewildered by the dancing shapes and colors, vaguely inspired by light.

I love fireflies and antique furniture and rainstorms and lace. Distant thunder and cooling air and the ocean pushing at my feet…candles, pretty dresses, the smell of blush, books, and oak fires, pens that write well and composition notebooks.
I think the only thing that bothers me is being woken suddenly. I don't like alarms. -
I was just driving to Despicable Me a few hours ago and it was a beautiful drive. The last few drops of a rainstorm wrung out like liquid crystal into individual clouds of fog passing through the black night sky,
playing in the background. Perfect drive.

playing in the background. Perfect drive.There really is nothing like a beautiful drive with good music in the background. A few weeks ago I made the trip from Spokane to Seattle. There's a part of I90 where the highway splits up in this beautiful mountain pass and that day it was like the clouds were just blooming from the ground. I had Coheed and Cambria playing in the background. It's good stuff.

You know I hate summer and sunny, hot weather. But sometimes when I'm outside I just have to appreciate how beautiful the greenery and the sun shining on everything is.

Funny that you like that, it's pretty much the bane of my existance. When I wake up like that I probably spend a good 3-4 minutes flailing my arm around to get the feeling back!

A rainy storm In the middle of a HOT day - I then just like to get totally soaked and enjoy the sudden and temporary freshness.
Rain in general, I don't do it as I used to when I was younger, but in the past I never seeked shelter when it rained.

As much as I hated the last of my college days…you guys ever take the 60 freeway at night as it cuts through Riverside?
On both sides are either empty fields, empty buildings or so-so houses, while the stars are blotted out by a purple electric haze? And you did this while listening to NPR?
This to me is city life. This to me is home. -
Walking in the woods, listening to birds and letting my eyes follow every slightest movement of theirs. That's heavenly and always makes me feel good and refreshed.
Good music is a basic thing, but it is still worth mentioning.
