found this, it's a funny read XD

Why doesn't this slightly better than decent manga have it's own thread?
Kurokami Medaka, a first year, is elected as Student Council President, and the first thing she does is establish a suggestion box. Since she was just elected as Student Council President, she's holding all the Student Council's responsibilities, and wearing their armbands.
So, she asks for her childhood friend, Hitoyoshi Zenkichi, for help.
I just marathoned myself up to date the last two days and found the series quite enjoyable with really funny characters and good (IMO) fighting. What I didn't like was how the power set changed in the middle of the Flask Arc. Before then all the "abilities" were just exaggerated reality but then the powers start to break into the supernatural. Also, Medaka seems to have given up her ideology that "geniuses don't exist." The switch so a battle manga was an unexpected surprise, but I love battle manga, so I liked that change.
That aside I really like this series. Thoughts?
EDIT: Oh yeah, this series has a bit of fan service in it but not enough to matter.
There was thread for this before if I remember right.
I still can't believe the author made me root for Kumagawa after just one chapter. A great villain in my oppinion, he is just fun.
I agree. Kumagawa was/is? an excellent villain. I feel as though this talk is spoilerish. Moving to tags:
! I wonder though, would Hitoyoshi still be blind without that skill? So if she took it away he would be blind again?
EDIT: THE SEARCH FUNCTION OF THE NEW APFORUMS SUCKS MONKEYBALLS.
I always do a search before I make a thread. Wth.
It's Okay, I don't really mind.
Well I'm going to post in that thread instead.

Also, I hate Medaka's abnormality. I know that every series with supernatural powers has a Sylar but it's usually not the main character.
Oh my god, the NOT EQUALS. This series is so cool.
Also, I just knew that
! Kumagawa would become the Vice President.
Ok the final villans will the infinitives
I think this series is under-rated… I really liked Kumagawa as a villain, just because he was pure troll. Like, we call Aizen a troll, but honestly, he is just uber-powerful and snide. Kumagawa is literally trolling harder than anyone has ever trolled before. He takes every expectation, and defies it.
I think the final battle was kinda bs, but I'm stangely okay with him as the VP. Interested to see where this series goes from here...
I have a feeling that they are going to reclassify Medaka as a ≥.
I want to know, what's Kumagawa's Speech Patern with the ¬¬ is?
I originaly found the constant references to Shonen Jump anoying, untill I noticed that they all came from Kumagawa, he was finding ways to troll me. Clever Bastard.
It's a very.. average series. I don't know, it takes chances and goes overboard, but it feels "flat".
Eh, It should have expended more time building the relationship between the council, Like Swimmer girl acting like she's been a friend for a long time after she was in the background /KO for.. most of the chapters during her inclusion to the group to the genere shift.
Anyway, it seems like it's closing to the end, the council is formed, Kumagawa is reformed, and the monster girl with 600 BILLION (that's 12 zeroes you imperial system fanboys) abilities is coming, the open threads are being weaved neatly.
In theory the manga could go for 3 "school years", but it feels like it will end with the year and next year's coucil ellections, We'll probably meet Medaka's sucesor soon.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I should say that I made my prediction before reading 93 and 94. I'm dissapointed and surprised that my prediction was spot on.
Also I always found Shiranui after chapter 5-8 unnerving .
So Medaka is finally cancelled?
No, it will end in it's own terms. 93 Screamed loudly of "FINAL BATTLE".
The enemies are Hellisly trollish. A reality warper and a being with a QUADRILLION (thats.. over.. 24 zeroes!). There's nowhere to go with the power scales.
It's sad how one of the main characters gets cut out for the generic bishounen.
Isn't that wallpaper based on the character poll?
Isn't that wallpaper based on the character poll?
Probably, but I tought that swimmer girl was also low in that one.
Well Akune is one of the most boring characters in this manga for me and Japan must think the same thing so of course he isn´t in a hight spot.
Gainax adapted Medaka Box anime confirmed for next spring.

"rice-fish box" lol…
and I'm intrigued. gainaxing boobs + stylish fight scenes + pretentious psychobabble + Medaka Box seems to line up nicely.
I didn't see this coming at all, wow.
Then My prediction of it dying could be negated.
This is a pretty big surprise, but I think it'll be more of a cause for complaint from the current generation since it's Gainax post-PSG. Shikabame Hime went by without fanfare, and Medaka is worse than that, so who knows how people will react a year from now.
Medaka's chest probably hypnotized the staff. :/
Well, Gainax does shows without ambition from time to time to fund their more personal projects.
I found Medaka Box interesting at first, but now it turned in a sort of X-Men parody with all these freaks with supernatural powers. It's not terrible but it's not anything special either, at least the manga doesn't take itself seriously anymore.
i've heard it's regaining popularity a bit. I don't mind the current arc, tho i'd like them to get Zenkichi back into the story
with how silent it is around Zenkichi, he will probably turn up at the end and claim the victory.
I don't like that Zenkichi has those eyes, even if he said that he won't use then much, it still bothers me a lot.
!
I rolled on the floor while laughing my ass off.
Hey, would you look at that. A legitimate surprise.
LoL Misogi the No 1!!
Well.. This arc has made me apretiate Medaka a little more. Too much fanservice, and I still think that it should end after this arc, but It has been fun again.
No wonder Medaka's ratings have been better since he became a main character, wow I didn't know he was that popular, I guess that page was his reward for getting first place hahahahaha.
Kumagawa forever.
I would have lost interest if he didn't show up after the Flask Plan because that arc was honestly shit.
this a good series?
i have every chapter downloaded, but have never read it yet.
Eh.. It has it's moments.
Medaka is a mary sue, but there's a reason for that.
Current arc has been fun, first SERIOUS arc wasn't that great.
Second arc ending was a little.. headbang worthy.
The author has a good track record, but compared to his other works, Medaka is like a failed abortion.
The author has a good track record, but compared to his other works, Medaka is like a failed abortion.
what are his other works?
Bakemonogatari and Katanagatari.
Hentai .
Even if that were true, I don't think such works hold a candle to how titillating Bakemonogatari is.
Hentai .
You talking about Nishio or Akatsuki? Coz I'm pretty sure Akatsuki's the one who did Hentai before (with the penname Riroland). Not sure about Nishio though. :x
The author refers to Nisio, while Akatsuki's the artist.
The author has a good track record, but compared to his other works, Medaka is like a failed abortion.
bakemonogatari is so overrated.
ha i decided to go and read this to see if i liked it and ended up reading the wrong manga, i read maken ki instead, lol.
damn i see medaka box is 112 chapters? maken ki was only like 39 and i wasn't able to finish it all in one sitting, think i'm at ch. 32
was just mentioning in berserk discussion how reading mutliple chapters takes forever, wonder when i'll get around to this manga with its daunting 112
Speaking of overrated Bakemonogatari, it got an anime sequel, Nisemonogatari.
And another novel of Nisioisin got an anime film, Kizumonogatari. Trailer's here.
Why can't he come up with a series name not involving the word "story".
This series still hurts my head sometimes, this past week more so than not.
It's weird how serious they made "take the main character spot" plot.
Nice reference of the heroes of shounen past.
Wow…I recently read chapters 115 to 117, and it was a huge mistake. I stopped reading after that flask plan arc, so I probably missed something big. But could someone do me a favor and explain what that is? What's keeping this series popular?
I'm trying not to bash it here, as I've heard plenty of good reasons to enjoy this series (Kumagara keeps coming up), but something about this series just makes me rage. I'll keep my list low and just say that, frankly, Medaka annoys me far more then Sasuke and any one Fairy Tale character combined.
To end on a positive, Gainaix making this anime? A match made in heaven. I think I posted here months ago how I hated Medaka's SSj3 transformation, yet with Gainax that'll probably be a breathtaking scene.
