Finally a color page for Jujutsu Kaisen, it took time.
One of the reasons why i love the group covers is that in most of them you can totally see the status of every series just by the way they are positioned, this cover is like 100% the status of the magazine right now, even Jujutsu Kaisen is already put in front of the other new series followed by Act-Age a little bigger than the other 5.
Ouch. Soma is way down there…I don't think I've seen it that low lol.
Souma having some weeks in the bottom is nothing new, even some "last place", will go up like always.
-
In hindsight is ok as they will just be forgotten, but in the moment is kind of cruel with the newbies. Like "come on red shirts, pose for the crew photo, all the way back!"
-
@Kaizou:
It looks like Japanese publishers (including Shueisha) are moving another step to stop the piracy. https://shuppankoho.jp/damage/index.html
lol shocked with the images of 13DL and Nyaa…
-
Sorachi said in the vol 74 of Gintama that the manga is "really" ending this year but even admits that he's been saying this for 3 years kkkkk
Maybe the big announcement is some kind of countdown to the end.

damn
the only things I recognize in SJ are One Piece, Soma, Haikyuu, and MHA. And I only read One Piece!i want to go back to 2009 >_>
-
Only now i saw that in the cover Luffy has "Tsunami" on his arm with a wave…
Next week: Shonen Jump apologies (again) for Oda's lack of sensibility about the current tragedies caused by the heavy rains.

I think rains and waves are two different things, but we are living in another era now.

I think rains and waves are two different things, but we are living in another era now.
But the rains were heavy enough to cause flood, destruction and hundred of deaths, so it was really bad.

My point is that one is caused by earthquakes and the other is caused by change in the atmospheric pressure.

My point is that one is caused by earthquakes and the other is caused by change in the atmospheric pressure.
As if someone cares about these details in the moment, Japan censored a water attack in Pokemon years ago just because they thought that was "too soon", they have the tendency of being sensitive about these things.

well if you don't try the new series, it's sure you won't recognize them
-
At the very least the Promissed Neverland and Dr. Stone are worth your time, as they are kind of unique.

Fair. Generally I prefer official release to scans.

You can try the 2 maxterdexter spoke of since i’m pretty’sure’they are officially released in English. It’s not my favourite ones but they are the 2 hits of the moment.
I’m not sure if Viz pick up any of the newer ones though Jujutsu Kaisen is probably the only one which will survive the cuts -
So Amano's oneshot is a Ice Hockey Manga.
-
I wonder why the VIZ version didn't have the Jigokuraku special chapter. Since they now translate the series for free anyway :wassat:

So One Piece vol 89 reached 2,003,749 in 49th place after 2 entire months of sales while vol 88 reached 2,080,350 in 5th place after less than a month!
From one volume to another One Piece basically lost more than 200k in sales, and i know, people will come and say "digital!" but for me is too much to be just that…

There is also the controversial comment Oda wrote to take into account

Just from July 2 to August 5 Slam Dunk sold 1.375.492 copies being the biggest selling manga in the month! And it still has like 6 volumes to be released in this year, at this point will probably get a top 5 in the best selling series of 2018, at least top 10.

Hard to believe with the current pacing that it will really just be 5 chapters.

So Noah's Notes randomly ending, looks like will not have new series right now, sad to see a manga that had a lot of potential ending like this, and is specially sad to see Ikezawa Haruto being cancelled again, at this point i think that he should try something on Jump Plus, seeing how he likes to put ecchi in his mangas i would love to see him doing a ecchi manga on Plus, he would have the freedom to do what he wants.
First ranking of Tanaka Seiji wasn't too bad but i don't have hopes for the manga…
-
Souma. Why are you so ass?
-
wait, Boruto is in WSJ?
-
-
Soma is heading down a steep, dark path. It's a big big shame, but anyone could see it coming for a long time, since the Azami bullshit started. Sad to see Noah's Notes end so soon, I really liked its first few chapters. I'd like to see the rest of it, at least. Don't want to leave it half-read on my list. Haikyuu is also pretty low in the TOC this week, what's up with that? I also hope Tanaka Seiji makes it. At least for a little bit. I found the first chapters pretty funny, it has potential to keep going for a while.

The first chapter was okay, but other chapters are not really. So, I don't think it'll last long.
