I have 3 LCD TV's in my house, a Philips 32" 720P/60HZ LCDTV, an Aquos LCDTV (not sure whether its 1080i or 720p) and a new Philips 52" 1080p 120HZ LCDTV downstairs. I've literally set up mt 360 on all 3 of those Tvs, and Idk if it's just me being way too picky, but all my games look the exact same on each TV up-close, what I mean by same is that they all look fugly up-close, save the 1080P one because of motion blur.

There isn't any difference between 1080p and 720p at all, and when I get closer to the TV, the game and the dashboard and everything just looks bad, with rough and jagged edges and in RDR the scenery looks all blurry and just looks like paint, it's annoying me. I've seen games looking perfect on YouTube videos, how come I can't get the same look? I use a Mad Catz HDMI cable but I've heard it doesn't actually matter how cheap they are. I have my 360 on 1080p, and it still looks bad up-close. Any help?

I've set it up on a plasma as well and the result was the same. Someone told me I had to calibrate my HDTV to get that pixel perfect result, but it's too much of a hassle since I have to pay and shit, and
others told me I'm being way too picky.

Notall 360 games are actually able to run on 1080p. In fact, I think a majority of them do not. Same with PS3 games. It's not just you or your TVs.

No, I know this. What I meant to mention as well was the fact that I've seen jagged edges and sharp corners and the like on the Dashboard and Xbox Guide. Sitting on my couch, it looks fine and all, but up close, it looks pretty much ugly.

Hmm…dunno what to say then. The general consensus is that HDTVs under a certain size don't really display 1080p properly, and that 720p and 1080p look pretty much the same on those TVs. I believe they're under 47" HDTVs, so that would explain your 32" Phillips and whatever size Aquos. Not really sure what the deal is with your 52" Phillips though. You should be able to get 1080p with that. If anything, fudge with the settings on that TV only.
