It's interesting to see the diversity. Zoro is my favourite, but I basically like everyone, and tend to favour Chopper, Luffy, Brook and Robin as well, but everyone is usually on par with each other with Zoro being the only one far ahead.

1. Luffy. I would not be reading One Piece if the protagonist was anyone else but him. He is stereotypical, yet unique. Selfless, and opportunistic. No one else is quite like Luffy. Just like Shakki, I give Luffy my vote.
2. Usopp. He's amazing. In the whole crew, he's the only one who can call himself the captain's best friend. Idiotic, over-the-top, and gag-gorgeous, Usopp brings light-hearted comedy to this amazing series.
3. Robin. Mature beauty who acts as the advisor and older-sister figure to the entire crew.
4. Franky and Brook. They form the comedy trio goldmine together with Usopp. Without them, One Piece wouldn't be the bizarre and wonderful world we know it to be.
5. Chopper and Sanji, Zoro and Nami. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Regardless they complete the Mugiwara Family with their intense dedication to one another.

Only real gap is between Brook and Sanji and Usopp and Franky now.

Another thing to consider is that Zoro and Chopper both tanked on my list and have only recently shot back up. (Chopper over just two chapters) Sanji tanked too, but he's been chilling at the bottom for a while. Brook and Usopp both shot up, but yeah, they settled again, though they ARE much higher than they were last time.

He doesn't fit it with the Mugiwaras, plus the crew is already too big at times to keep up with, the fishman saga was a bit clumsy.
It's already perfect anyways, Luffy met 4 members in the east blue and 4 more in the grand line.

1. Franky (His comedy is priceless, love his fighting style, and is an all-around great character. His VA makes him even better.)
2. Robin (The dark comedy makes me laugh every time. Her story is very interesting as well. Also love her VA.)
3. Luffy (Had a really hard time putting him below anyone. If it wasn't for him and his awesome power I wouldn't have picked up the manga.)
4. Brook (Didn't really care for him for a while, but I warmed up to him later on. Really like his new fighting style, and the skull jokes still make me laugh everytime. On the downside, I think his dream is the least interesting of the Strawhats.)
5. Zoro (Can't really dislike this guy can you?)
6. Nami (Has the best weapon and possibly one of the best fighting style in the series. That really saves her character for me. Plus her arc is my favorite in the series.)
7. Usopp (Love his dials and I hope he incorporates them into his fighting style even more.)
8. Chopper (Had a really hard time choosing between him and Usopp. I wish he changed into his new horn point more often. He looks AWESOME in that form.)
9. Sanji (He's the only Strawhat I'm "meh" about. He has his shining moments and good comedy, but I'm not a large fan of his character.)

If we count Vivi, I'd put her somewhere between Nami and Sanji.

1. Luffy (Shows fearlessness I expect from main characters. Pisses me off to see a pushover hero.)
2. Zoro (Another fearless member, and I like stories about swordsmen.)
3. Robin (The only fearless female member. She's my favorite female anime/manga character. Love the way she looks.)
4. Franky (He's pretty hillarious. I love it when he thinks someone's calling him a pervert, and he takes it as a compliment.)
5. Nami (She's definatly the center piece of this crew. I doubt the Strawhats would get anywhere without her.)
6. Sanji (He's pretty fearless, and everytime he talks about his cooking I get hungry.)
7. Usopp (The most human member of the crew. I think the real life learning experiances are shaping him out to be a great character.)
8. Brooke (Oda loves variety. I do to. Who would have thought a scary skeleton could be so funny?)
9. Chopper (I like his transformations. He's pretty important being the doctor and all. He's quite strong, but shows too much cowardance with all that strength.)

Oh and when Jimbe joins you can bet he's going to be one of my favorites!
