Stars under Names

Can someone explain the significance of the color and number of stars under certain people's names in the forum? I did a quick search, but it remains a mystery to me.

Wrong forum.

Stars correspond to titles. I'm not sure how many stars for each but one if Senior Members, 4 is for mods, 5 is Admins, etc, it's just for the titles.

1 star, red=senior
2 star, blue=never used anymore. translators once upon a time
3 star, purple=maintinence
4 star, green=moderator
5 star, black=admin, with the highest powers in the land

On occassion a 1 star senior status will be mixed with the 3 star purple. Despite what the CP9 version of the board indicates, I do not believe there is any actual distinction between "moderator" and "super moderator." There are also some individuals who have honorary mod powers over certain threads and subsections, but no visible indicator of such.

Generally a star represents time spent on the site and general contribution, and worthwhile posts, indicating people you should pay attention to. Just being around forever isn't enough to earn a senior rank. A handful of people get promoted to senior every few months.

And yes, this should be in the help thread.

Just out of interest, why is the description for the titles only on the CP9 layout? Woudn't make sense to put them onto the other ones too, at least the 'Grand Line' layout since it's the default layout for the forum. Would save alot of time.

That being said, it's nice to finally know what all the stars stand for. Didn't know 3 stars were equal to a website editor, thought that was the translator one. Goes to show even us old users can learn something new once in a while.
