The "new" Sanji + Sanji hitting girls

just wanted to start a discussion about Sanji and his current situation, given how many people feel that after we saw him in the anime/manga, that he will be gay/a crossdresser/an okama/able to hit girls.

I'm a huge fan of Sanji, hell, he's the reason I got into the manga, but I'd be pissed off if they did change Sanji's character so drasticly. Everyone is saying Sanji being gay would be for the better, since Sanji's antics of constantly flirting with girls was getting old/annoying, that it'll be an improvement/upgrade, that now that we have Brook we don't need Sanji around to be the one to flirt with girls, that having a gay character be part of the crew would be a good thing, etc.

Also, Alot of people say that he'll be able to hit girls now and that will be his upgrade… but that would be a really useless upgrade since Sanji won't be able to use it... why? Becuase none of the other male straw hats (who seem to have no problems hitting women) have ever had to hit women themselves.

Zoro fought against Kuina/Tashigi and never laid a finger on her. Usopp fought Perona and won the fight with out hitting her once (Cept with a giant inflatable hammer, but I don't think that really counts since it didn't hurt her)

Sure you can make the arguement that Luffy hit Vivi, but that wasn't really a serious 1 on 1 battle, just an arguement that resulted into a breif fist fight which was quickly resolved.

So far, none of the other straw hats have hit girls, and I doubt they ever will. Even if Sanji does learn to hit girls, odds are it'll be a useless upgrade since like everyone else, he'll have to learn to beat girls with out even touching them.

What do the rest of you think?

Sanji being an Okama is a special gag for the moment, like Usopp getting fat or Franky being a gentleman.

If Sanji did get a boost from this experience, it would probably be either increased leg strength or the confidence to overcome anything now that he has survived his Hell.

You remember that one time Luffy punched Alvida to the other side of the galaxy and back?
Or that other time he shot Sandersonia to the ground while in Gear Second?
Cause I do.
Luffy doesn't hold back when it comes to hitting enemies who really got it coming. Gender never played a role.

However this whole Tranny deal Sanji is going through right now might help him to actually punch a girl that deserves it. It will never happen in a serious manner, Sanji's too much of a gentleman for that.
But I could totally see it being played for the laughs, with Sanji's "inner tranny" breaking through while fighting a girl, making the reader piss his pants out of laughter. It would prevent another Kalipha situation from happening.
