So even though Dragon is there, he doesn't know that Luffy is there too?
Chapter 587 "I will not run!" Discussion

Luffy didn´t know about the Tenryuubito until Sabaody. If Sabo dies in the flashback and the upcoming Tenryuubito has ANYTHING to do with it, he would remember that.
Well not exactly… After he saw them at SA the first time... He said... "It's them" and at EL he said something like "He knows how the WG is working"
-
flashback forever!!
nahh, i hope we will have about 2-3 chaps still coming than it should be enough..only thing now which is importnat is what happens with Sabo…what is with the celestrial dragons..and what exactly does luffy help to get over ace
s death after the flashback ends! (i still believe that there will be a moment he will remember from his past which will help him to gather new hope...like something ace could say after they saw Sabo dieing which will reminds him that he has to fight and to go on even when one of his brothers won
t reach his dream) -
What stopped dragon from blowing all the flames away? and save more people? Did he just created a path in the flames to recruit more people?

The King would notice his presence, maybe.

With the curtains closing the windows?
He could have extinguished the fire with a strong wind and disappeared letting the people deal with the rest… Why just create a path and let others die in the flames?

It looks more like Kuma's or ivankow's,with the grove in the ground so maybe he didnt have the df yet.
-

Because creating a path causes a lot of destruction and opens a way for people to escape, but blowing up all the flames in Gray Terminal would be even more destructive to the people trapped within than the flames themselves.
-
Theories:
1. It's not Dragon who created the path.
2. He didn't want to caught attention. He may return later, for some issues with the Tenryuubito. The King would notice his presence, not necessarily see it with his own eyes, but be reported later. -
maybe it was invankov with his dearthwink…
also blowing his wind into the flames would have killed many people instantly.
-
Yeah…a huge huge fire like that, wind will only spread them.
Who has the idea to kill huge fire with wind?
And a storm would just blow the people away. -
@.access:
The way the nobles are depicted is quite poor. Seriously, it is just… it looks like a kid is writing this.
However, Dragon's group saved the chapter for me (and basically, it is the only good thing in this flashback so far. Maybe Bluejam could be a good thing as well). And great to see Kuma there with him and Ivankov.
Next week, though, I expect Sabo dying in a tearjacker way that I hope will not look like a desperate attempt to get the reader simpathy like it was with Oars Jr. Oh, and the Tenryuubito depicted in a very unrealistic way, like there is only "evilness" runing on their veins.
100% Agreed. Dragon + buddies were best part, other is kind lame ass stuff. Boring too, spoilers in first place were more intresting. Yes, if its King who sleeps and gives no shit about peoples pain and sorrow, uh-huh. Another bad king yup.
-
was that ace's haki during the fight? or was it dadan's? or there was no haki at all ?
-

It's that or they burn themselves slowly to death. What is there to loose. Not everyone had access to the created path.
-

Ace's haki…
I'jm really enjoying this flash back now. I can't wait for the arrival of the Tenryubito. But maaan...those Nobles are scum. "Its their fault for not being born Nobles" How rotten the noblity have become.
-
Time for Dadan to kick some a** now lol
And I saw Kuma! sweet bunch of revo's were there
Well we know Sabo's alive now but he didn't go with Dragon
-

And a storm would just blow the people away.I think your looking for too much logic in a manga that has people stretching, splitting, controlling shadows, throwing buildings etc.
I'm not saying your wrong I just think your reasoning is to logical when one piece doesn't really use logic too much
-
I love the cover of this issue it has the clearest picture I have seen of Dragon to date
-
Did anyone else notice that Sabo's flag is the same S with cross that was tattooed on ace's arm? I wonder if luffy will do something like that to remember ace..

I have a theory:
Sabo is the 4th yonkou, someone has probably thought of this but i thoguht it was worth mentioning,he left the island way before ace or luffy and we never really heard anything about yonkou wanted posters so that could be why ace and luffy havent heard about him,pic of the yonkous doesnt really seem like sabo but you never know how he might have changed -
I doubt Sabo would be called Big Mom

-
the 4 Yonkou have been revealed already Sabo isnt one of them
-
i like big mom for sabo
almost like dadan for a fat woman
-
Sabo isn't a Yonkou because he's too young and Ace would have heard of him.
I think that's the main mystery. Looking at Sabo; if he had sailed off at 10 years old then there's no question that he would be a powerhouse and have gained a reputation in the New World. So when Ace was on Whitebeard's ship, there's a high chance that he would have heard of Sabo being around. Ace probably knows all the big guns in the New World, yet he hasn't mentioned Sabo. So maybe Sabo has chosen not to travel the Grand Line, which is unlikely because if he is alive, he'll definately be making an appearance during Luffy's Grand Line journey.
-

Now i agree that it sounds very unlikely that sabo is a yonkou, but when have all 4 emperors been revealed? We never (really) saw kaidou and we don't even know the name of the last one.
-
the name of the last one is Big Mom
-
Oh, missed that out then.
-
nice chapter think the flashback should be ending within the next 3 chapters if not in the next chapter

Isn't the name of the last Yonkou Big Momma? =/
Well I doubt Sabo would be a Yonkou even if he was alive. It's more likely that he is a Revolutionary or a random New World Pirate. Even if he was alive, I have a feeling in the next few chapters he might "betray" Luffy and Ace in order to protect them. Hopefully we'll get to see Sabo in the NW because he's a pretty sick character.
Also when I first saw Sabo's flag, I immediately thought of Ace's tattoo. At first I thought it might've been crossed out because Sabo = Dead but when I noticed carefully, I realized that the edges were rounded, resembling Sabo's Pirate Flag. Either way, Oda has probably been foreshadowing about Sabo for ages now and unlike SOME Mangaka, he doesn't sprout out random crap. It's official.
ODA = BRILLIANT

Maybe, Sabo fakes his own death.
I just get the feeling that as his dad told him no matter how many times he runs he'll be found, then he starts thinking how he can no longer live there, and what freedom really means. He decides to fake his own death so his father wont chase after him anymore.
Sabo is pretty smart. He knew the tenryuubito were arriving that day. Maybe he planned to draw their attention, be targeted and be blown to pieces all in front of his parents who will think he died and wont chase after him anymore (no point). But in fact he planned it all, and goes off as a dead but free boy.Or he did die, or he knew he was going to die if he crossed the Tenryubiito so he decided to commit suicde by proxy and thus be free of the burden of his life…maybe
Personally i'm going for he faked his own death (until otherwise stated by Oda of course)

Oops–-I see this topic was covered in the revolutionaries thread, although we have no more answers now than we had back a year ago.
It occurred to me that if Kuma had been a revolutionary and in the know about Luffy and Dragon's familial relationship (he knew even back in Thriller Bark) then he couldn't have been serious about taking Luffy's head back to the WG at Thriller Bark here http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/485/17/, right? So, wth? Was it a test of the crew? A way to maintain the facade of being loyal to the WG (everyone else was ko'd at that point, though, so why do that?)
Unless these are an example of bad translating
So he went to take Luffy thinking everyone was down for the count. Then Zoro attacked, and he clearly didn't expect it. He could have invented the story about needing his head, to cover in front of Zoro or whoever else, but I dunno, seems weak. What was he gonna do with Luffy if he did take him and Zoro didn't stop him anyway?
So what was he doing, and how does it relate to the changes he was undergoing through Vegapunk's modifications on him? It says here http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/560/06/ that he had his original personality up until a few days prior to the war, so he knew what he was doing in Thriller Bark.
His deal with Vegapunk and the WG gets more and more mysterious. Can’t wait to see this unfold, along with all the rest.

Sabo being a Yonkou is very unlikely but I could see him being a crewmember of Kaidou or Big Mum, possibly even being a first mate.
But as someone else has already stated, this is extremely unlikely because Ace was a member of the top crew and would have known if Sabo was a Yonkou or a member of one of their crews because Whitebeard's crew has probably clashed with all of them on several occassions.
Ace never mentioned to Luffy that Sabo was still alive.
Personally, I think Sabo either gets killed or becomes a revolutionary.

Where the fuck this Sabo = Yonkou is from. Ace would know that! And btw if he would been a famous pirate the world would know that and Luffy and Ace as well.
If he is alive he is a slave or hiding somewhere. It has to have a reason why Luffy is talking about one brother… And even if he betrays them... Do you think Luffy would say he isn't my brother anymore...
Look at Robin and Nami... hell even Usopp
-
Sabo probably joined up with the revolutionaries. It'd make sense for him to do so, considering how much he despises the corruption of the Nobles.

If he is alve I'm really interested how oda will handle it that he never showed up to Ace or Luffy to clear it up and why Luffy believes he is dead.

Yep. Fake death plus a new name.
Even before Ace and Luffy cuz they would something bad to him

he already knew in chapter 157 the story with sabo -
It wasnt a good chapter for OP standards. We knew that Kuma was revolutionairy, and Ace's king's haki doesnt really matter he is dead meat.

Oda put that down as an artist mistake from the tattooist.

Where was this ever stated? And even if… Should he say... hey in the future I will introduce Sabo and something will happen?
Even if I would love to see Sabo I have a hard time to see a explanation for it which would answer all things against it.
But hey it is Oda... And if he will do it... it will be awesome

A year ago I'd have told you off the top of my head… Now... I can't be bothered to rereead the SBSs to find it.

I never read about that… I alway thought it was fan-based speculation^^
-
Oda never said that in any SBS. In fact, Oda rarely mentioned or took questions about Ace at all.
The whole artist's mistake theory about Ace's tattoo has been fan theory for years, to the point where its been accepted as fact. However, nothing about it has been stated in the story or by the author as far as I know, so its still just speculation.

I can't remember much about it myself… I'm too lazy to search the SBSs these days, since I did it about a hundred times in the past until I was sick of them. As I said, a yuear ago I'd have known if they were or were not in there.
One Piece is getting really hard to keep track of info of (heck I've even laid off editing the wikia to give myself a break from looking up the info constantly for a few weeks).

Dragon will create a way of overiding Kuma and all the other Pacifistas Software and than use the Pacifistas to take over the world! I mean why else would he allow Kuma to do that?
