So I'm guessing there's been no update on this (whether or not Opening 13 is coming soon)? I imagine there are some good chances after the FIFA Special or after the filler + clip shows come to a close.

i miss endings too ;v; a whole lot actually. i was soooo disappointed whenever they just made the openings ridiculously long and took out the endings.
i'm usually happy with openings though, except "Believe,"… uhg... as long as the next opening song isn't sung by a high-pitched girl i think i'll be satisfied, lol

Today (June 30), someone in a Japanese BBS posted a spoiler which said that the Marineford Arc in One Piece anime will start on July 18, accompanied by a change of the opening song. This spoiler has been verified.
According to the spoiler, the title of the 13th opening song is One Day, and the artist of the song is The Rootless. The spoiler also said that more details about the animated Marineford Arc and the new opening song will be published in Weekly Jump #2010-31 on July 5.

Something I never understood, wouldn't this be opening 12 and Sagashite 11, if you don't count the Straw Hat version of We Are as an opening? Makes more sense.

That song is called "ラヴへ", the theme song of a Japanese mobile TV play called "減量ボクサー".
I liked that song, and I think the new opening song will be a good one, too…

I think a build up of Luffy running, surrounded by images (in order, flashing by as he runs) and then reaching out for Ace, grasping thin air as Ace also fades into nothingness would look pretty cool.

Oh. I don't understand Japanese too well and wasn't really paying attention to what was being said in the trailer anyway, just listening to the song. From the video alone, it looked like the main character was trying to become a professional wrestler/boxer, and…he really likes food? And then he and his friend met this girl with big boobies (:wub:) and he said "mou sukoshi," which I think means "a little more." And...that's about all I got out of that trailer in regards to that show.
But I agree, the song was really nice.
I replayed the trailer several times in the background just to hear it again. If that's any indication of what "One Day" sounds like, I'll be a happy panda through the Marineford arc.

Anyways, I imagine some gray and red going on, while images of people close to Luffy are dissapppearing like dust. I also imagine short clips with each of the prison escapees fighting or doing whatever they were doing in the arc. Yeah, like that Jinbei blasting Moria with that punch like you said.
