Edited 06-02-10: Cape and Shakky Pants
Well, I have two reasons for posting this thread; 1) to help motivate me into completing these cosplays on time, and 2) to perhaps recruit people to join my OP cosplay adventures. (So don't feel pressured to post; I'll just keep updating as I go along. And if I'm stagnant for too long you can all poke me into shape!)
Marchen Time
If you aren't familiar with the Omake, Marchen Time, I highly recommend that you read it. To be cosplayed at the NYAF/NYCC 2010! (I'd love more cosplayers to complete the group!!)

Good Read
So far we have a Prince Robipri, Queen Nami and Princess Zoro. Robipri (Robin) will be cosplayed by me, Nami to be cosplayed by Meredith and Princess Zoro will be cosplayed by Joe (Who is pictured with Mere in her steampunk gallery). I believe Mere will be making her own Nami cosplay and I will be taking care of the Robipri and Princess Zoro cosplay. (We are taking liberties and spicing up the outfits a bit.)
I have already gotten started on making Robipri's shirt. And I'm also buying things on ebay! I love that Joe will absolutely hate me after this. I had to beg him to be my girly Zoro….well, kinda...not really. But he's regretting volunteering now! ^^ (Insert sadistically evil laugh here)
06-02-10 Cape: Cape is pretty much complete. I need to add a clasp to the collar. Still need to make the crown and finish the shirt. (This is going to be so hot…I'm glad I'm wearing it in October!) Materials: I've also purchased Princess Zoro's materials. I still don't know how many fun liberties I'm going to take with this dress. I really want to embellish it…
05-24-10 Shirt: I need to finish the shirt and add the work on the wig a bit when it comes in. I also just started my cape today and will post pictures of it later. The next big project for this cosplay is the crown. I'll also need to find suitable boots to either cover with fabric or paint purple. Then little things like leggings and a belt should be simple enough. Oh, I'll also have to buy a new Robin wig to curl and style. Eeeeh, still a ways to go!
10-15-10 Pictures!!:
My Zoro wig didn't come in time, so in a rush, I had to buy a wig at the NYAF/NYCC. Also, Mere did not get hers done by NYAF, so we will probably re-wear this in the future.
Shakky
I'll be 'making' a Shakky outfit. I haven't decided which con to wear this at yet. The only other con I may have an opening for is Anime USA. If I don't get to wear Shakky at a con, I'd still love to get the outfit done and have pictures taken. If there are any OP cosplayers in the greater Philly area who'd like to join in on a Rayleigh, Roger, Garp, and/or young Buggy or Shanks photoshoot, let me know! Shakky needs some company.
12-20-10 Fanime 2011: The combo of Otakon and NYAF fashions shows knocked me off the radar until now; just trying to recover. I'm ready and excited to continue Shakky now that Marchen Time is out of the way. Am seriously debating on debuting Shakky at Fanime. (It really does depend on whether or not the gathering is on Sunday.) crosses fingers Then again, if someone decides to cosplay Silvers at Fanime, I'll have little choice.
12-17-10 Shawl and Belt Buckle: Thrifted a heart belt buckle I need to color and a shawl I need to alter. Yup, 'closet' cosplays are awesome.
06-02-10 Pants: I thrifted a nice pair of pants that I think may work well for Shakky. I need to replace the zipper and then paint the pattern on, so we'll see how that goes. I am still looking for a shirt and shawl (to tie around my waist). I'm treating this one more as a closet cosplay; I'll just alter things that I buy. ^_^;;;
05-24-10 Wig: Ordered a Shakky wig. (Obviously I ordered this in black, so just use your imagination.)
Undisclosed Cosplay
I hate to be all sneaky, but this is so hilarious that it's better I just keep it secret for now…at least until I have started the project!! I actually hope to wear this one for Ausa. To be a perfect cosplay, I'd love at least an Arabasta Sanji and a desert....\
10-11-10 Shoes: Found! Nice and uncomfortable.
09-26-10 Pants: Arg, this is, by far, the most complicated part of the cosplay. It turned out mostly ok, but I think I need to re-sew the top hem.
07-15-10 Shirt: Hmm, shirt is mostly complete. I had to applique it together and one half of the shirt came out better than the other. (lol)
06-02-10 Materials: I bought most of these materials and spent way too much monies. This cosplay is going to take some construction brainstorming before I can really move forward with it. I think I am going to have to make a mock up of the shorts before I can come up with a logical course of action.
