@joekido:
Uhm, Jerk Disease, are you sure Boa joined the crew?
She hasn't joined. she has been left behind like the love struck teenager that she is who is pining after the one thing she can't have. Hope we don't see her much now

Did he dodged it? I had the impression, that WB directly hit Aokiji.
Furthermore Marco and Vista later explicitly sliced Akainu with haki. And he didnt care.
Like I see it, Haki will help you only very remotly against decent logia users. And the New World isnt exactly a place for rookies, who havent heard of haki before. And when was haki used in the war to even create some sort of supremacy? Apart from ko'ing two executioners? So, when even the two greatest powers in the OP world couldnt use haki as anything more than some gadget, how do you reckon the future fights will degenerate to quasi-pure haki fighting.
Aokiji did dodge it. He created a hole in his torso for the bisento to go through without touching him.

Congrats on figuring out my sig!
Before the last chapter, my primary complaint would be the lack of good foxes. I mean, we had Foxy, who sucks, and… Suu. But then Oda gave me FAKE CHOPPER for my birthday.
And all is right in the world.

It's pretty disappointing that some of the fanbase thinks Hancock's surname is her first name. Really.
Other than that, things are disappointing (well, more like weird) like Luffy getting a razor sharp disc in the back of the head, a giant pitchfork in the back, spikes through his fist, a hook through his chest, etc. and once he removes the said object(s), he's completely fine and is free of scars. Yet a tiny knife caused him to get one.
Oda is a heavy smoker. Needless to say it is bad for the health.

Wait, we know what caused the scar?

inb4 Oda dies of lung cancer leaving OP unfinished. that is really disappointing though.
Oh they eye scar. I was talking about the big X scar.
@JERK:
Congrats on figuring out my sig!
So 3 possibilities:
1. It's a joke
2. It's meant to mock fools who think Boa will join
3. Or your'er so damn sure
I'll stick to 1 and 2 for the next few chapters and then if it's that, I'll laugh about it
Nothing to see here.
Don't explain it, Doom.
It's far more hilarious to watch.
gif of MJ in Thriller eating popcorn
So JERK DISEASE's sig is confusing people for reasons other than "y is sAbo alive checkd?" This is the least disappointing thing in the thread!

What?? Seriously wtf is this post
Yeah, the series is pretty bad with scars/injuries in general. You'd expect Luffy to at least keep the scars that are really significant for readers, like when Crocodile gutted him. Zoro is the worst offender. He got shredded by a slicing attack that easily tore through a stone archway, but the only scar he has is the one Mihawk gave him (well apart from his eye now). And bandages heal everything back to normal. It's tough to keep suspending your disbelief through all that.
That's why I was glad to see Luffy was at least on a respirator in Law's ICU after he got beat down in Marineford.
My foremost disappointment with the series is a rather minor one all things considered, but it still irks me: Akainu's Devil Fruit.
How is magma not strictly superior to fire in every way? I like how the rest of the Fruit powers are pretty balanced. You can even think of countermeasures to Kizaru's power: mirrors or prisms, for example. But magma has no weaknesses that I can think of. It's just straight broken.
I think it would have been cooler if he'd been a Paramecia brawler who could just turn his body into magma, but didn't have Logia intangibility or the ability to shoot out his magma. Then he would still be stupid strong, but much more balanced. But now I'm getting into fanwank territory.
Not too big on melting points, but Diamond Jozu might be able to take on Akainu.
I´m disapointed with how the strawhats look after the timeskip. I liked them the way they were.

But even if diamond were immune to Akainu's magma, wouldn't the convection alone broil Jozu's insides?
Not that convection is ever really acknowledged in fiction actually.

Luffy's a rubber man and his blood vessels are rubber. Mr. 1 is also constantly steel even when not explicitly a blade. Since Jozu is a diamond man, I'd assume his insides would magically be diamond too, even if his ability isn't explicitly being shown through the obvious diamond transformation. And if it has to be activated, there's likely not much besides honing the power to stop him from activating it on his insides. Doesn't make much sense in how he'd maintain body functions, but Logia users are a bigger violator of this concept anyway.
Basically I'm saying in this case it's easy enough to explain away that concept using only pre-established, in-universe concepts. Oda wouldn't even need a goofy answer like Zoro's heart letting him talk with a sword in his mouth. The only concern I'd have is the blood itself, since Luffy and Mr. 1 don't have rubber and steel blood respectively…
The only thing that disappoints me is the fact that Chopper and Luffy remained almost exactly the same after the Time Skip.

And i thank God for that.

Aokiji either caught it in his armpit, turned his body to Ice before he was stabbed, or the plausible but less likely option where he used defensive Haki to cancel out WB's. If thats possibly. Either manuever's use can hardly be called dumbing down. Dumping a bag of salt on Aokiji isn't a genius tactical move and the prism/mirrors being Kizaru's weaknes idea was stupid when he was first revelead, it is stupid now.
@Badass:

We haven't seen chopper's deer or Human forms. Since the "in between form" is an average of the two It makes sense for it to stay the same.

magma setting fire on fire.
First one would of course be Pell not dying. He didn't serve any purpose later on so why did he have to live? Was dying too offensive back then?
One would be general stupidness of characters like when Viper used Kairoseki-thingy against Enel and they just didn't slit his throat or something.
Which reminds me of yet another thing; All the main-rebels surviving in the Skypiea-arc and conveniently waking up the instans Enel was defeated. I can understand Braham but Kamakiri, Laki and Genbou surviving was one of the most idiotic things I had ever read.

Who the fuck is Viper?
Who the fuck is Viper? And Laki?
Wiper and Laki are both Shandian warriors from the Skypeia Arc. Laki's the girl.
Dr. Chopper! How in the world did you get the jolly roger on one of the x-rays? Even Luffy's head wouldn't quite work!

I'm sure you didn't know that it was an Ivankov impersonation. The guy is just so popular.
I didn't like how all over the place Oda seemed to be with the Baratie Arc. Throwing Mihawk in there seemed really out of place. The flow of the entire arc just was really off.

Well, if it was an Iva impersonation, it failed. Hard.

yeah but if he didnt we would have needed a whole arc in East blue to hype up the warlords for later …so this way he cut straight to Nami
at least thats how i see it

Heaven forbid someone misspells a name in such a way that you still know exactly who they meant.

I believe Oda said he likes for everything to be right and good in the end, if someone dies it's not all good.

How'd that war go again? :ninja:
Yeah now it will just take actual skill to overcome each others strength.
That didn't happen the entire war so why would that happen now? Haki just makes a fight with a Logia an actual fight where the Logia has to fight their best instead of relying on God Mode. Like Aokiji dodging WB's Bisento. More glass cannon villains or spending entire chapters devoted to figuring out a Logia's weakness before the fight becomes fair is boring. Criticism's pulled directly from your ass.
Inevitable Haki using Smoker&Luffy won't be a boring fight at all. Luffy using a vacuum or fan to force him solid would be far more lame. Now it will be like it happened in the anime only Smoker won't be able to just push towards Luffy unhindered.
Get over yourself, it's called an opinion. Don't make this personal. I value your input and agree with some of your points, I'm just not sold on the whole thing. Deal with, accept it or reject it, but fuck off with your immature insults.
This forum has real issues with just accepting not everyone loves "topic x". Cue ultra-mature response "This forum has a reall issue with dumbasses". :getlost:

Yeah, second time someone died in OP besides flashbacks. There was just no way for the story to continue to have that impact if they didn't stay dead.

Hey can you pick a slightly non-hilariously mild post to throw an embarrassing stupid tantrum over? Thanks.
The increasingly large breasts. Now before all the guys (and gals) boo me I just want to let you know that I'm the biggest pervert out there. I even did my share of adult artwork but the large gravity defining breasts in OP just bugs the hell out of me.
I really miss Nami's reasonably sized breasts waaaay back in the earlier chapters and Robin wasn't bad herself. They were sexy to me before their implants and dare I say a little more respectable.
It would bother me if One Piece weren't already a series of constant exaggerations.
I know who they are. I'm just pointing out that he called Wiper "Viper".
In german Wiper is called Viper.

hahahhhahah oh my God please tell me this was posted ironically.

It wasn't. In finnish One Piece Wiper is Viper so I just called him that. It makes no fucking difference which one I call him because anyone with a brain gets the meaning. Get over it.

Und Viper sounds better yup-huh. In Finnish. Just some of attacks changed into Finnish… fuck damn, right Hawlol buddy?
