It's scheduled for a July 1st, 2011 release. After the second installment, which as far as I'm concerned lands itself in a pile of worst films ever made, sucked I can't say I'm anticipating this at all, but hey there is a silver lining!

Megan Fox is gone. Not having to look at that should hopefully help the film if only by a tiny bit, then again she WAS the only character in the whole film series that actually looked like an alien, so it might be a negative.

Michael Bay is still (sadly) directing, while the writers for the first two films are gone. And yes, for you people who choose to hate him, Shia LaBeouf is returning.

Meh. The Transformers movie series was ruined when they decided to put the focus on the kid. If it was just Autobots vs. Decepticons slugging it out, it'd be one hell of a great flick.

I'm probably not going to watch this. The first movie was decent but Revenge of the Fallen was bleh.
I agree with Hypersock, would have been better with more focus on the transformers themselves.

LaBeouf is an Ok actor as far as I'm concerned but Captain Hyperstock is right, they put to much focus on the humans. I'd like at least a half hour of the movie with just Decepticon vs. Autobots

Definitely agreed, but as awesome as it MAY sound a large chunk of the film can't simply be that, it'd get dull quickly. But that doesn't mean to focus on humans instead. Then again, I suppose a few minutes of Optimus and Megatron conversating and playing mind-games would seem out of place in these films. But with it being an end to the trilogy (tho not necessarily the film series), I don't think an all out robo-war would be too much to ask for.

However, the robot fighting in 2 was god awful. Maybe not so much on the eyes, but definitely on the ears. I think it was Roger Ebert who said that the fights in 2 were the equivalent of locking two kids in a kitchen with pots and pans. I couldn't agree more.

Transformers were most terrible movies in last decade…Transformers 2 was so hellishly bad that there really is no competition to be worse movie than that.

But I guess Michael Bay cant wait to milk some movie with Transformers franchice but placing Shia LaBouf (talk about un-charismatic actori) and US army to main roles while rendering Transformers itself to support role filled with bad movie cliches and unintresting plot.

Big CGI explosions, slow motion, fratboy "humour", and good ol' fashioned racism. I'll be shocked if Bayformers 3 gives me anything more than that. At least #1 was an ok action movie. Revenge of the Fallen, on the other hand, was an awful, awful pile of shit.

Spiderman 3 is an awful movie, I agree. I hoped it would end after Peter and Harry fought, but it dragged and dragged on until I lost all hope that it would ever end…luckily it did thank god. BUT its movie masterpiece compared to Transformers 2.

But I guess I am bit biased because I was fan of He-Man and Turtles back at 80/90's and Transformers were never a big thing for me.

They aren't good movies. I just went to see them because i like Transformers in general. I'm probably most entertained by just seeing the CGI animated, redesigned G1 bots and cons. The plots suck. The humans suck. Quite a lot of other things about them suck.

But for the third one, which Transformers are going to appear? Shockwave? Trypticon? Omega Supreme? ...Blurr? Hmmm.

I'd like to see Unicron too.But It might be a far step for the 3rd movie.He could be appearing at the end suprizing everyone (at least those who r not into Transformers universe) as a teaser for the 4rth movie if there will be one where Primus could make his debut too beside Unicron

For the 3rd movie Ill be satisfied if bigger Transformers make appearance,like city sized Metroplex and Trypticon.As long as they won't be ugly monsters like Devastator (my favorite G1-TF ruined by Bay's movie) but cool G1-like.Or is that too much to ask from Bay? -.-

Not necessarily, there's plenty of story lines that include Unicron but not Hot Rod or Rodimus. I mean, seriously, Unicron was a huge part of the comic, but the continuum is totally different from the cartoon.

Having said that…I actually liked Rodimus Prime. I think they cut him a raw deal basically giving him leadership and then have Optimus Prime come back and say "you fuck up, I'm taking that back".

The 2nd one was soo soo awful.. I just.. can't even comprehend it in WORDS how badly I hated it. The Transformers from the first movie, the Autobots, didn't even see the light of day in the 2nd piece of shit, except for those retarded dumbass twin ones whom destroyed the movie for me with their idiotic and childlike behavior when I wanted to see BADASS Autobots =_=; The only good parts of the movie were when Starscream was groveling to Megatron and then getting bitch-slapped.

I do not even want to know what the hell Micheal Bay will do to make the 3rd movie EVEN WORSE =_=;;
