How about serious Luffy and dumb Luffy then? Those are like two completely different personalities of the same character. The only difference with Usopp/Sogeking is the lack of a flashy superhero nickname.
While that is getting closer, it still isn't the same thing. Oda is just barely scratching the surface on his alter-ego, so it's hard to say for sure, but it certainly seems like it is becoming a genuine split-personality [[URL="http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/465/15/"]here]. Either way, the two personalities are very different, and most importantly Sogeking lacks the really annoying features Usopp's basic personality (and design) has. Were it limited to the better parts of Usopp alone (Sogeking), some of us would be less likely to vote for Calgara. Take Ace for example. What if Ace had a split personality, and that second personality was exactly like <insert your="" favorite="" character="">'s personality? Would it be crazy to say you liked one personality and not the other? To opt to vote against him as a whole because one personality is married to the other, but note that were the choice available to vote for one personality over the other, you would have? I don't see the problem here.</insert>

Yeah, I don't think Oda will make Usopp have a genuine split personality or get into deep psychological scars. Even in the Enies Lobby arc, Usopp was always there and was nervous when he lost his mask. I think it will remain lighthearted and comedic.
Well, I'm voting for Calgara because Usopp already won once and he probably has development left to go in the series. Calgara also shed manly tears with Norland so he gets my vote!

Ohhhhh…did I ever time this perfect. The one day out of hundreds that I get my shitty laptop to work, it's the day of Usopp's match.
Naturally I voted the greatest One Piece character of all time. And may I add, Oda noted in an interview that Usopp was his own favorite character. Fine taste, that man has. Usopp is the greatest! That ain't no lie.

Point out an instance where luffy talked to luffy or an instance where one luffy completely sucked balls and another did not.

Oh, that's what it is abou?. Didn't Sogeking talk to Usopp the very last time he appeared? I remember those Sogeking is much cooler than Usopp statements to have gone on far long before it ever came to this scene in where I was thinking this entire argument was comming from.
Not to mention that it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that different personality aspects are often in conflict with each other generally. We don't need Oda to draw that for us to know this simple fact. I always find it insulting the readers intelligence if an author has to state the obvious.
Last but not least, it's a matter of taste to consider whether Usopp sucked balls or not. I for one find him one of the characters that makes One Piece, One Piece.
