I know it's early but I got football fever!!!! The NFL is 24.7, 365 days a year!
So, who will take it this year, the coveted and elusive Lombardi Trophy..??

Browns fan, and while Holmgren has them on an upswing and I'm excited about this draft class(especially Colt McCoy in the future), I'm going with a prediction of about 7-9 or 8-8 for this year, which will be an improvement, and build off their four game winning streak at the end of last season.
But, the thing I love most about the NFL(even though, admittedly, I enjoy the college game a little more), is that you never know who's going to step up and be that surprise team.
I wish American Football was more popular in Europe… is there a good free live stream available for the NFL (or a good recap, since that would be pretty late at night for me, i guess)?
The only game we get is the Super Bowl.
Nothing that I really know of is free, you can sign up for packages like NFL GamePass but that cost 240$$ for all regular season games but no Playoffs :( You can try downloading form torrents but they are not live and kinda glitchy
You should just move here and get all the games you want XD
ChannelSurfing.net normally is pretty good about having streams, as well as ATDHE.net
And if you just want a recap, NFL.com has all the highlight packages.
NY Jets gonna win superbowl #2 Mark Sanchez and the Green Machine are gonna take it all away. #1 D and #1 rushing game.
The Bills are going to take it all.
Bills
The one team the Browns can always beat. Also, I have some doubts that the Jets are going to have the number one rushing offense after letting Jones and Washington go and expecting Greene and Old Man Tomlinson to carry the load. The defense, however, should be great. The Ryan family is amazing.
I have faith that the San Diego Chargers are going to see everything fall into place this year. They had an excellent draft, and have a great Rookie of the Year prospect in Ryan Matthews. There is too much talent in that team for them to choke again in the play offs. JETS, we're coming for you!

Except for the fact you took SD's two biggest problem childs. Cromartie, and, though I love him to death, LT. Just wait until Tomlinson starts whining and blamming everyone else for his lack of production.
Holmes wasn't a safe bet either,
And also your quarterback is still Mark Sanchez. That guy who threw 8 more picks that TDs last year. And like it was said above, character issues everywhere. Braylon Scissorhands and Holmes really aren't the kind of receivers that are going to keep quiet if QB play isn't up to their liking, and that causes problems.
And, Akumu, I really like Matthews, but I still think that the Chargers didn't need to give up so much to trade up in the draft. It was really likely he'd be there. The only other team that maybe needed a first round RB was Houston, and that still wasn't their most pressing need.

I was furious when they moved up, until the draft was over. They filled all of their needs and got a steal at NT with Thomas in the 5th when he was projected in the 2nd.
Then I saw this which made me love him even more. I cannot wait for August so I can see this kid in action!
I had completely forgotten they got Thomas. This draft was so ridiculous in terms of depth, there was 3-4 round talent going in the 6th and 7th.
Redskins all the way. Even though we suck. We will be better than last year but with all our old and about to be washed up players our window is almost shut.

Not that it was ever open

After having to deal with Mike Shanahan for years while he was in Denver, I know how great the man is, and how terrible he is to play against.
You know how the Bengals took everyone by surprise this past season? That's how I imagine the redskins in the 2010 season.
Go Jaguars….
We draft West Coast guys so they wont have to move when we sell the team to LA :((((
LA? You've obviously missed the memo
!
Its going to be wild in the AFC this year, I see this conference going through a transition and, if anything this is the year for a surprise team to take it. The four dominant teams for the past five years have really been the Patriots, Colts, Steelers, and Chargers but I'm seeing change coming..
Indy and the Pats will be good for a long time as long as Brady and Manning stay healthy but I think their dominance over the entire NFL is coming to an end. The Steelers have been very inconstant (one year a Superbowl, next year out of the Playoffs) and the whole situation with Big Ben is going to hurt them. And the Chargers have a had all the talent in the world for the last decade but can never do anything in the Playoffs and their window has been closing fast for a while now, this year is really it for them..
Look out for teams like the Ravens Texans, Dolphins, Jets, Broncos, and the Jags (probably not, but one can dream…) because they are closing in on the elite teams and this year the AFC may be even more chaotic than last year..
ravens are my favorite to win it all. flacco has boldin a real wr. flacco will have a pro bowl year the defense has got better in the draft and the OL is great along with the rbs behind it. it will take alot to beat them ALOT

Uh, no. This team is really young. LT was the only one whose window was closing. We just drafted an amzing Running Back, and PR is one of the Best QB's in the league. Gates is still young and playing better than ever. VJ is going anywhere anytime soon, and Floyd's in his second season now.
And our defense is very young, especially after the additions we made with the draft.
If anything, their windo is still opening.
Yes, they are plagued with playoff troubles, but honestly, I don;t see that being a problem this year.
And everyone keeps talking about the Jets. Well they've taken way too much ego onto their team to function. LT and Cromartie alone will be the death of them, but they also have Holmes to deal with among others. They're not going to do anything but self-destruct.

Hi, I just met you, but I hate you.
Nah, I'm only joking. I actually think they'll do better than the Donkeys this year. They should definately at least make 8-8.
Go browns! LOLOLOL just kidding. [:
Everyone is talking about the cowboys this year, but I'd keep my eye out for another team close by.

I hope the Cowboys make it to the Superbowl just to be beat in their own Stadium. Preferebly by the Chargers.
The Chargers biggest problem is still Norv Turner. I just can't see them winning with him in charge. But, I do like the young talent they have, and you can never discount the possibility of Philip Rivers going all PHILIIIIIIIIIIIP RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVERS.
And as much as it makes me physically ill to say it, I think the Ravens are going to be damn good this year. Their draft was ridiculous, along with the acquisition of Boldin. That was my one complaint with Holmgren this offseason, that he didn't go after Boldin with the large amount of picks they had this year, they could have spared a third. Cleveland needs a vet to mentor their promising young receivers.

The Charger community is pretty much split on him. I support him because his coaching style really fits the team well. It's pretty much just wait and see.

One word: Flacco.
BTW, love the Avatar. "Hey, Assbutt!"
Norv isnt the problem for the Chargers, they still didnt play well in the postseason with Marty as coach. No their problem is when it comes down to stepping it up in when it counts (i.e. the Playoffs) they just cant seem to do it. Every year its always a close game but either offensivley or Defensivley they choke and lose to teams that they are better than, like last vs the Jets, they kept giving them oppurtunites and making dumb mistakes..
Yeah against the Jets it was our Offense and Kaeding. That was the Best our defense played all season. Well, until the very end.
In the AFC, the Chargers, Ravens, and Browns made away like bandits, so we'll see how they ulitilize their new recruits.
In the NFC, did anyone notice that the Cowboys and Saints only got rid of their old players and replaced them with excellent players?
I'm pulling for a Chargers/Saints Super Bowl, but I'm expecting a Chargers/Cowboys or Chargers/Vikings game, for some reason.
Im not a hater but if it came down to it I would bet against the Chargers every time in the Playoffs…and the Ravens are once again going under the radar, Flaco is legit and so is that D.

Yeah, I don't know why the Ravens are flying under the radar, especially with that slaughter down in Foxboro last season.
Flacco is okay, imo. He doesn't compare to Brees, Rivers or Manning, but he suits the Ravens style of play, and with Boldin, they don't have to rely on Heap.

Green Bay, San Diego, Ravens, Indy, Saints, Miami, Jets, Carolina, Giants, and Dallas round out his top 10…
Really Packers number 1!?!? I agree they are getting better but number 1?? Also, were is New England, they are not as good as previous years, but as long as they have Brady they should be a lock for the Top Ten every year. And the Panthers...who's there QB, Matt Moore?? Yes they still have a good running game and Defense but not a Top Ten team with Matt Moore as your Quarterback..
Everything else I more or less agree with...
Eagles fan.
I'm staying optimistic about Kolb starting for the rest of the season. I think we'll at least pull off 8-9 wins if Reid can keep his shit together. And we've made the playoffs with only 9 wins before, we could do it again.
Plus I'm going to the Eagles/Falcons game on October 17th. I'm so pumped to see my favorite team in person. =D

Brady is not that good of a QB. He's decent, but looks great because of his WRs. Evidence: Matt Cassel looked great in NE, then he ended up in KC where he sucks. When Welker ent down last season, and everyone had Moss shutdown, NE didn't look too good.
An Elite QB can work without elite WRs. Look at Brees, Colston is the closest WR on the Saints to being considered elite. The rest are decent guys, but they have a master throwing them the ball, so they're able to make the plays anyways.
On another note, Herodadotus, there's an awesome forum I'm on for Charger fans, I don;t know if you've heard of it, it's called Bolt_Talk. It's a medium-small size community of hardcore Charger fans. They guys who created the site, put out a podcast called Bolt Talk, that's how I found it. Check it out if you're interested. I'm Lightning_Dynasty.
I had a lot more respect for Brady as a quarterback earlier in his career than I do now, even when he puts up insane stats.
Especially when he won the first of his Super Bowls, against the Greatest Show on Turf. That Rams offense was unreal, and NE won because of sheer clutch by Brady when his team needed it. Now, that offense that centered around ball control has shifted to what it is today, THROW THE BALL TO MOSS. He's now the definition of a system QB, and he doesn't hold a candle to Manning.

Any QB with 3 rings is great…period
And besides can you name one WR they had when they won those 3 Superbowls..before Moss and Welker they had no one, last year their D and offensive line hurt them the most as you could see in the Ravens gems, Brady had 0 time to throw...Brady has had some of the worst WR cores I have seen in playoff teams but he found a way to win, that is a great QB

First off, each of their SB victories are tainted with the cheating, and second if any part of the team is to be complemented, it's their D, not their O, because all 3 wins came down to a kick. However, when it was crunchtime against the Giants, and Brady had enough time to lead his team to a victory at the end of the 4th was he able to? No, he wasn't. A great QB would have made that drive. And the sad part is, since that year was the year they were revealed to be cheats, the fact that the couldn't beat the overrated Giants makes their previous victories unsure.
As for WRs, David Patten was a really good WR, and in fact the year they played the Rams, the 2001 season, was his career year.
And as for your rings comment, what about QBs without rings? Are they not great? people like Dan Marino?
He is a million times better than Brady will ever be, yet he doesn't have a simgle SB ring. Does that make Brady better than him? HELL NO.

i hate brady but your right the guy is a hall of fame qb hes one of the best ever. now flacco(strongest arm in the nfl) will be great top 3 qb this year since he has a real wr. manning and brees will be the only ones ranked higher at the end of season flacco is the real deal hes no joke
as for them raiders they got a better OL and a great young Defense an ok qb two good rb dieing to brake out. they are coming be scared nfl the meanest heartless team is coming back!!!!
i see a ravens vs packers superbowl coming as well

Rivers and Romo are both better than Flacco. He's too much of an on again off again QB.
And please, prove to me how Brady is one of the best ever.
My problem with the Brady is God movement is mainly this, they're so inconsistent with their reasoning, especially when comparing him to Manning.
When Brady was winning rings, and Manning was putting up insane stats, their argument was WELL BRADY HAS THE RINGS HE'S BETTER.
Now that Manning has a ring and Brady is putting up outrageous stats, you hear all about Brady's stats.
Personally, if I had to choose one quarterback to lead a team that had to win a game or aliens would destroy the Earth(my favorite scenario ever), I'd take Manning, Brees, Favre(providing he got a large lead our our alien aggressors), and maybe Rivers(who just hasn't shown me anything in the clutch) before I chose Brady.
Rivers and Romo are both better than Flacco. He's too much of an on again off again QB.
And please, prove to me how Brady is one of the best ever.
not really. romo and rivers had wr. this is flacco's first time having a good group of wr he will prove hes elite
as for brady you can never no matter what say anything about his superbowl wins he was the qb they won hes a champ. also when he got a really good wr he broke records. he almost never over or under throws a pass and hes so damn smart when it comes to reading the defense. he rips them apart inside and out. but in the end qbs are judged by one big thing and thats rings brady has them.
The 3 superbowls they won came down to 3 drives Brady made in the end of the game so don't talk about his clutch factor. The 3 elite QBs in the league are: Manning, Brady, and Brees. Manning is the best but I would take Brady as my QB in the playoffs because he is money when its crunch time
And I don't care how good your team is, winning 3 is a damn hard thing to do as a QB, only others were Aikman, Bradshaw, and Montana pretty good company to be in..
Oh, and Rivers is better than Flacco but Flacco is better than Romo..
Tony Romo has had one consistent receiving threat. Jason Witten.
Roy Williams has been a bust, and Team Obliterator was Team Obliterator. They've never really had a stock of high level WRs. Crayton is average, though Miles Austin had a good year last season. I'll wait and see what Dez Bryant can do.
not really. romo and rivers had wr. this is flacco's first time having a good group of wr he will prove hes elite

Not true. Dan Marino will go down as one of, if not the, greatest QB of all time, and he doesn't have a single ring.
And Romo didn't have a consistent WR this entire past season, not eben Witten, and he still put up good numbers.
Seriously people, go back and watch the three SBs the Patriots won last decade, it was D that won them those games, Brady and the offense had nothing to do with it.
Like I've already said, if he was great he should have been able to lead them to a victory against the Giants. They had enough time, and elite WRs, but Brady over threw or underthrew every pass in that last drive.
When it comes time to put up or shut up, with Brady it's rarely the former.

Those games came down to kicks. Not Brady. He is not an elite QB.
Do you call Cassel elite? No, but he was fantastic when he took over for Brady. Has he done anything since leaving NE? No. There's a reason Brady was drafted so far down. He's not God. He;s not the stuff of Legends. He's a good QB with Elite WRs.
Did you watch those 3 SBs?? I saw Brady drive down and win those three by getting them in position for the kicks ball didnt magically get in range by itself, and he had less than 45 seconds in the Giants game with no line help what so ever. Brady=Clutch Marino had such good numbers because his team sucked and they were always behind and thats why he never won a ring. Manning has the numbers and a great team and he is not a choker in the Playoffs but he doesn't play his best in the postseason like Brady does..
He is not the best nor is he God but he is elite and in the top 10, look at his numbers, rings, and the way he plays.
Not true. Dan MArino will go down as one of, if not the, greatest QB of all time, and he doesn't have a single ring.
And Romo didn't have a consistent WR this entire past season, and he still put up good numbers.

miles wasnt for romo? u high haha and you have his te jason who was hell of a good catcher. and even TO was a good wr for him in the past he always had someone. as for marino he will not even be in the top 5 of all time due to not winning any rings hes just makes it into the top 10. rings are what all qbs are judged on like it or not. and for brady against the gaints NO qb can be great every game they are human. they all have bad games.
as for marino he will not even be in the top 5 of all time
Lolwut. You realize that not winning a Super Bowl was on their god awful defense, not Marino?
The lack of a ring stops him from being number one. But no way is he not in the top five.
Its Marino's horrible D that gave him his great numbers but also gave him 0 rings, ironic huh XD
