...was "Navy HQ" written in English on the original video, or was that a translation you guys added? Because I was under the impression that Yibis normally (slightly incorrectly) translated "kaigun" as "Marines".

No, it was always translated as Navy.
Navy (kaigun) is the name of the actually military organisation. Marine (kaihei) is the name given to the actual soldiers but doesn't refer to the organisation itself.

Correct. Navy is not a stupid 4kids thing. That is what they actually are. Navy/Marines is interchangeable in One Piece.

oh hey congrats, i see you finally got a place for yibis alone.
have a question though, was putting this in the folder for strong world stuff and noticed that you guys never did the last 2 episodes of that tv special, filler, lead up to or whatever you call them episodes. you know 428, and 429. i know they weren't very popular, but kind of like to have collection complete.
so are you guys ever going to do them? or should i find someone who did?

People downloading your subs don't care whether or not you like the show, we want to watch it and decide for ourselves whether we like it.

We have absolutely no idea. Because we still don't know when the DVD/BluRay will be out. (I heard something about it coming out in August, but I'm not sure if that was true.) And judging from the fact that I translated Movie 9 back in October yet we still haven't released that one, it'll probably take quite a while for Strong World too.

The quality of Yibis is so good I noticed that Rouge actually had freckles^^;;. That makes her cuter than before for some reason ^^;;.

To be fair I didn't boycott them, they just banned me from their site. And as always, hey, I appreciate all fansubbers, even if they do ban me.

For the movie, Oda wrote a tie-in chapter called "Chapter 0" that explains the backstory of Shiki the Gold Lion, as well as showing where a LOT of characters were 20 years ago.
Toei animated it and released it as a special Extremely retardedly limited edition DVD that you can't buy and you basically have to sell your soul to the devil to get.
Some kind soul who got it leaked it to someone here who will remain nameless to protect them, and that person forwarded it to some fansub groups including Yibis.
That's what this is.

Oh ok, I knew of Chapter 0. I just wasn't sure how the animated version came into the grand scheme of things.
I honestly though they were going to introduce chapter 0 with the flow of the current anime, but I guess it makes sense to do it separately for the movie
