What happens during a physical exam? My friends say that you get molested, is that true? I'm a guy (14) and I don't know what to expect? Can someone explain?

What, You mean getting a phisical? o__o The doctor comes in and looks you over. You might be asked to bend over and if you're a guy you might have to be looked at …. 'down there'... to check for mites and to make sure you're keeping everything clean. You'll have your blood pressure and heart rate checked and you'll be measured and weighed. It's not a big deal really. ^^ I get them all the time for marching band and what-not. LOTS of people get them.

Most doctors are absolutly fine but one I went to made me very uneasy with his use of the steathoscope. (I'm a girl by the way)
If the doctor you see creeps you out don't be afraid to stop the exam and ask for another doctor. It's entirely your right.
But it's extremely unlikely a doctor will molest you. I have seen heaps of doctors and been in a really vulnerable state in hospital and I have only had that one slight problem ever.
I've had embarresing medicals before but the doctors where very professional and it was OK. Don't worry about it. Just touching you somewhere personnal doesn't mean molestation if it's just to check your health. -

[snapback]90874[/snapback]It's a check up you get if you plan on doing sports or somthing. Basically they look you over to make sure you're physically fit to play.

actually, you'll get your money stolen at the examination. the molestation thing is only an added perk for the doctor.

Yeah, it's not that bad. The sad thing is, my DAD was the one conducting the last one I had, since he's my doctor. >_< And since it was 10:30 at night, and the form had to be in the next day… I really had no choice.
And just outta curiousity, what are you playing/doing to have to get a physical?
