Agreed. By the time it got to "that" moment in the manga, readership measures went through the roof. I have no doubt that equivalent measures for TV will reflect the same for the anime episode, whenever it's released.

I know that ~12-14% is a lot and all, but ~12-14% of what are we talking about here exactly? 13% of people in Japan? 13% of people who's tv is turned on at that moment? What exactly are we talking about?

Using sampling and statistical inference it is estimated that 13.9% of Japanese Households equipped with televisions in the Kanto Region were watching One Piece at that time. The estimate of course varies for the different regions.

This has got me scratching my head for awhile. Luffy, Chopper and some other characters put chopsticks on their mouths whenever they're partying. But, why? Is it some sort of cultural thing they do in Japan whenver they're partying or what? :wassat:

I believe it's a drunken businessman gag, or something like that. But it's physically impossible, so don't try it at home.
Unless you get some short chopsticks or similar substitute.

Yeah, and don't forget your wicker-basket to "beg" with, while the chopsticks are up your nose and in your mouth….
...which, for the most part, is also what the characters do when they do that gag/gimmick...

This is what I would do:
- Send a letter in to Toei Animation asking for a simulcast in the UK.
- Buy one piece of One Piece merchandise whether it be a DVD set or a Manga volume or a mini-Whitebeard or whatever. Support the series, basically.
- Use Yibis, as I recall they did a pretty decent job at what they do.

If you have a region-free DVD player, you can import Funi's excellent DVD sets, which are almost up to Skypiea now, and have far better subs than Kaizoku Fansubs' releases. Well worth your money, but won't exactly help you getting local One Piece releases.

Download VLC, that should work. It's a video player with its own codecs built in.

Ive just downloaded one piece and when i try playing it on vlc the sound will come up but the picture will not come it happens only to mp4 files avi was working just fine on vlc:S.

Try downloading mpcstar. It's the best video player out there IMO. If it still doesn't work, try downloading quicktime player.
