These are the blueprints that the great shipbuilder Tom-san
sacrificed everything to keep in existence.
As long as the woman named Nico Robin is alive,
and the danger of the "weapons" being revived exists,
The world needs those plans…Â as a balancing force!!
Even if I did keep them from now on,
I would rather die than allow the government to have them!!!**
i think that should make it clear that "ancient weapon" being mentioned over and over is NOT pluton.

I´m a bit confused here. Please re-read the above paragraph that you´ve just quoted. Just check the sixth word in the fifth line. It is clearly "weapons". He talks in plural and doesn´t say anything about an existing one. And personally I still prefer Stephen´s translations because scanslations don´t appear to be that coherent from time to time. Even in this arc the scanslations had some translation inconsistencies.
I take it like that. There´s more then just one Ancient Weapon. The WG seems to be aware of that but they probably don´t know anything more specific about them. The only exception is Pluton and I think so many people (Crocodile, the WG, CP9, Tom-san, Iceburg and Franky) know of Pluton because there exist plans that are written in a language that everybody can read. Maybe that´s even the reason why Crocodile knew of Pluton in the first place. He could have somehow overheard a discussion about Pluton and decided to search for it for himself. But that´s a whole different discussion.
The point is that Pluton seems to be more "prominent" than Poseidon and the only logic reason for that would be because there are blueprints of it that aren´t written in the Ancient Language.
Poseidon seems to be just another Ancient Weapon that nobody except Nico Robin could refer to by name because she´s the only one to decipher it.
Well all in all by basic point is actually, that there´s more then just one Ancient Weapon and furthermore that the WG doesn´t fear a specific one but that they fear any of them being revived.
It doesn´t matter if it is Pluton, Poseidon or any other weapon we don´t know so far. It appears that any of them has the power to destroy the world. And that´s what I think everyone fears and not a specific existing one.
On a side note, I understand it that way that all the Ancient Weapons are equally leveled judging what we learned in Water 7 and in Skypiea. Here´s Stephen´s script from page 11 of chapter 301 (the scene where Nico Robin reads the Shandian Porneglyph):
**Robin: An "ancient weapon" with the name of a god.
"Poseidon"… and its location.
Warriors: ...ancient weapon?!!
...why would that be written there...?!
Robin: {Another weapon...!! And different from Alabasta's "Pluton"...!!
It sickens me to think these destructive things are still sleeping around the world...!!!}
Wrong once more.
{This isn't what I want to know...!!!}**
