**I would, but I find it a bit overwhelming  . That and my PC may reject the program.

Heh, just use the http links that are listed on the IRC channel. They're hella fast, I'm almost done!

-
I can use IRC, it really isn't as hard as most people say it is. I just don't like fooling around with bots. I'm going to go with these HTTP links that Franky mentions.
-
where are the http links?? i thought the only was was bots and they are annoying…

You seriously suck.
What if your PC had rejected Bittorrent? OH NO!

**Not for me. I find that torrents are faster.
It takes me forever to download something on mIRC.
Anyways downloading it now. I just can't wait! :)
-
On bittorrent it takes me about 2 or 3 hours.
On IRC it's 30 minutes at most.
-
K-F bots are so much faster than any torrent..

**I agree, that's pretty much the same as me. I've never gotten a speed of 110kb+ on BT, but on IRC it's about 150kb/s constantly, my max, so 30 mins is my time.
For some reason though, if I'm uploading just even a little, it horrendously drops my download speed..
I envy those who download at 400kb/s :/
-
on IRC I usuallyget around 180 which is double what I get with torrents..
-
So was the episode good? I have'nt heard any comments.
-
i really enjoyed this one epecialy we are as background music. did anyone else think the knock up streem looked weird though?
-
Oh, I definitely loved it. I also loved the song at the end. I can't talk much about it yet, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time :) (I was going o.o!! at the 7:50 mark)
A certain part made me laugh.. the 3:48 mark
EDIT: Cyber panda!!
-
Pretty good episode. I liked the end with the whole "We Are" bit. And I found the part with the Southbird hilarious! Poor bird, it could'ent turn it's head and Luffy was lauging at it, Hell I was laughing at it.
-
all i gotta say is, amazing episode!

EDIT: Cyber panda!!
I was trying to work that into the 'out of context' thread. But my MSpaint skillz have failed me once again :(
-
I haven't watched the whole thing, but-
-
It always amused the hell out of my how Blackbeard comes out of absolute nowhere on a giant log raft saying he'd kill everyone.
-
The Knock Up Strem looks cool.
-
The We Are was an awesome touch.
-
-
The only problem with this episode is that it makes me want the next episode even more. Then again, that's the problem with all of the episodes…

It was a good episode, the bird part was funny.
-
the bots dont annoy u
u annoy the botslearn irc its really beneficial

YAY KF for doing their usual fantatic job with 152. This came out a much sooner than expected. Off to the sky we go!!!!!
As for other stuff
I used to use IRC a few years ago, but I understand that for some people is a bit confusing, and nothing explains how to use it well. It doesnt really have a useful help file or how-to guide (or at least it didnt a few years ago)
Maybe, if people here are saying "you should use it", they should be helpful and give a few instructions too, rather than just saying that? We all aren't 1337.
KF has a help file which is pretty good on how to use it, and it's explaind in good detail. It can be found here: http://www.kaizoku-fansubs.com/modules/xoo…hp?cat_id=5#q14
I like Bitorrent more than IRC personally, mostly because i find it much easier to search for torrents. On IRC, if I didn't have a bot, the search took forever (like if I was searching for some new series to watch, not something in particular).
Oh and queues can bite me as well.
-
Another thing that in my experience turns people off mirc (atleast some friends I tried to win for the idea) is the whole queue-thing.. BT and direct download (even if they're slow) will for the most part start immediately, while on mirc it's common to wait in a queue for some minutes or sometimes even hours. Some people don't seem to grasp that.
Btw I'm glad the whole BT-population isn't on mirc.. queues are bad now as they are, don't need more people on irc :P
-
It is harder to search, but you will find more. If that makes sense.
IRC is far richer in content than BT trackers.
People don't want to bother making their own torrents for things, because they have to have access to trackers and such.
My bot K-F|Makino doesn't even HAVE queues. Just pure sends. For every server that has queues, you can find another server which doesn't. This is why I post all the triggers for the new episode every release.
-
i get what you mean by its harder to search but richer content part,
the stuff on irc is alot more secure and it tends to have alot more "rare" files etc, but its hard to find the bots that have them…
i have no idea where to find good bots etc for getting files, so i just search i torrent site....
i only have the bots for kaizoku and null and thats all, no idea where to search if i want other files
-
Type !list
As long as it is allowed. Check the topic, the colored text that appears on your screen when you first enter the channel. It will usually say whether you can use !list and/or @find.
@find is not allowed in k-f, and not every server replies to it. But it does allow you a rough search. !list is the complete list of servers.
-
i tpye in list and a huge load of text comes up, what does it mean… and how do i get files from it?
-
The replies you get to !list each tell you the "trigger" for the particular kind of files you might want. Just punch in that trigger to get a connection/send from the bot.
Example: Jimmy goes into #l33t-anime-warez (/join #leet-anime-warez) and is looking for episodes of La Blue Girl(that little perv!). He types in !list, and amongst the 500000 responses he gets he sees:
-KewlAnimeBotDood- All of your tentacle rape needs!! { triggers: /ctcp KewlAnimeBotDood SENDMEANIME!!!!! /ctcp KewlAnimeBotDood SENDMEMUSIC!!!!! }
Jimmy types in /ctcp KewlAnimeBotDood SENDMEANIME!!!!!, the obvious trigger for anime. He will then get a response and be asked into a "DCC Chat," also known as an Fserve. And that's another adventure.
I hope I got that all right.
dythim: I bolded and colored the actual parts you have to type in. I find that helps with techy-ish explanation things.

**There's various ways to find bots on other channels..
here's a few:
1. go to their website(the website will usually be in the topic if they have one) and look for something like Xdcc bots or irc.
2. !list usually the xdcc bots will be a certain colour so you should look for that or just ctrl+f xdcc then copy the triggers/sites
3. wait in channel and sometime the bots will start listing themselves
4. look on the right side for nicks that start with the same few letters like K-F or Aone.. then
/msg nickname xdcc listhope that helps
-
I rarely use !list, cuz that only gives the fserves, and they're slow most of the time. These days almost all groups have fast bots, so it's easiest to go to their channel and basically use methods (1) and (4) naruto-sensei explained.
To find where the mirc channel is for a certain group, anidb.info is the best site. Type the anime you want to download in their search-engine, it'll get you a list of all the groups that have subbed the anime. Clicking on their names will show their details, including their channel.
For example you want fantastic children, then you find the group is mahou, and their channel is #mae on rizon. (they've actually got a gigabitline bot.. download speeds are up to 4 MB/s.. less than a minute per episode, try to beat that with BT ;))

Why is it that when I try to go to kaizoku-fansubs, I get a page that says the domain doesn't exist? :/

News: Site Down. Tracker Down. -
Well, I figured that part. I guess it's just typical technical difficulties?
