This has the strongest start to an anime that I have ever seen. I am blown away again after episode 7, I keep waiting for the high level of quality in everything to drop, but it hasn't happened yet. It's blowing every other anime out there out of the water at such a rate, they all seem more and more mediocre when compared to this series. I already vote this best anime of 2013 unless it falls from grace in the most spectacular fashion. Now it's time to run away before someone whose read the manga spoils it for me. :S

Imagine a Shingeki action game–-the 3D gear would be a headache getting right, unless it's relegated to a passive/automatic movement skill (think Spiderman with auto-aiming webs). If this were on a console, the controls would have to be pretty detailed/sensitive or lose a lot of freedom. We could have something like an Assassin's Creed-style context based controls or something.

If this were on a console, the controls would have to be pretty detailed/sensitive or lose a lot of freedom. We could have something like an Assassin's Creed-style context based controls or something.
You've never played Lost Planet before have you? They have a grapple mechanic pretty much like this.
You can even grapple onto giant monsters to shoot their weakpoint.

Yeah, that's what I was imagining would be hard to implement/control. Let's say you have two trigger buttons, one for each cord. How would you aim them? Or for a simpler layout, one trigger controls both cords and the game automatically decides which to use+where to aim.
I feel it wouldn't really be playable without significant hand-holding, unless you dual wield Wii-motes or something (and specialized controllers would be too gimmicky).

Whoa, I imagined Mikasa was a lot older… Eren being 15 I can understand. Silly teenagers. But goodness, that just kinda nails her character a little more that she's definitely an abnormal person with how resolute she is. Trauma from an early age can really change you.

From the anime I thought the titanbros were already 18ish when they entered training. I hope we'll hear their backstories soon.

Yeah wtf they destroy the wall gate and walk away the more my head thinks about this the more i get confused how can 12 year old kids being able to do a mission so eficiently withouth any adult supervising on that mission were they so sure the kids wouldn't screw stuff like doing more destruction than necessary and if i was able to turn into a giant at that age i would do stupid stuff like jumping to the nearest lake to see how big the slash would be.
