People don't have to exclude characters when voting, meaning that everyone who votes for Akainu basically votes for Gin. However not everyone who votes for Gin votes for Akainu!
When there will be two options and you ll only be able to choose one, the difference will clearly show

Well I can't say I'm disappointed seeing that Gin is doing this go (though it is quite early). In fact, it's nice to see that an old character like him is not getting forgotten (since this seems to have been the fate of many old/early characters). Heck, if Gin scores first in this round I wouldn't be disappointed at all.^^
I must say I'm surprised though to see that Heraklesun is that popular. And to a lesser degree the same counts for T-Bone.

No, dash it all. T-Bone is a man of honour. He'll make it through while standing alone.
Plus he shoots waves from his sword. I haven't seen this dubious looking "Heracles" (if that is his real name, I mean, who dresses up in a beetle suit…how shady) shooting waves. Because he can't. Vote T-Bone, since he's not fatting Usopp up for the pot.

Its funny how some people were considering Akainu to break WB's high score and now he might be beaten by Gin who hasnt appeared for more than 400 chapters !

The real reason Akainu is red is because of all the blood of children he's killed over the years
Akainu planned to kill Luffy for being Dragon's son. What we didn't know is that he also planned to kill Garp and Dragon later for being related to Luffy.

Akainu can kill logias without the need of Haki
After going to a Brothel, Akainu magma fisted all the prostitutes for being whores
After kissing his first girlfriend, Akainu magma fisted her for kissing him out of wedlock
Whitebeard failed to kill Akainu by punching from behind, Akainu did not fail to kill Ace by punching him from behind
