i think it won't be too good, because although the first was good, it didn't look like they needed a sequel. And the advertising for this is getting too cheesy, for "The Ring, 2" the billboards read "twO" (the O being the ring) and theres those sub-lines like "fear comes FULL CIRCLE" and stuff

the first wasn't scary but it was just kind of creepy but now that we know why everything happened i dont see how it can be scary

what do you guys think

I'm not a fan of the first one, because I love the original Japanese one (I'm a big big big biased Hideo Nakata freak).

I think the sequel of "The Ring" will be better than the first purely because this one is directed by Hideo Nakata and I am hideously biased.

But then again, I didn't really like Nakata's original Japanese "Ring 2" so if it is like that then… x_x

If I recall (after dling the 2nd movie) it is suppose to be about the guy's girlfriend (the ex husband who died in the 1st movie) and a reporter (random new character), the Japanese version made me very tired so I havent watched the whole thing to confirm it >_>
