Here's my take on this. My apologies that this whole ordeal has somehow opened up. I honestly did not intend for a big show of "NPC banner" and I have never mentioned the site before this because I understand how weird it is to bring it up (I have once answered the question of someone asking me if I came from NPC, but that's all).

Uh anyway I'm way late and the only reason I noticed that people were talking about stuff in this thread is because Mr. Truth randomly sent me a link, but I felt like commenting on the whole Dan debacle.
This whole thing is like mega awkward to me because Dan was kind of a dick to me before (understatement) and I'm pretty sure he never liked me (understatement x 2), but since this wackadoo conflict has gone down he's been like super nice to me and I have no idea how to take it.

None of the things that that explosion resulted in were things I really intended. I was talking to some AP posters who also post on NPC about a subject they probably did not know happened. Informing of this was related to an at-hand topic at the time of my posting because it felt very "man they have to know I don't think they do", so it didn't feel too strange and it resulted in some positive information being spread.
But uhh I don't know how to take this. I didn't realize it'd turn out like this. So sorry for anyone who felt this was like walking around boasting about some secret club, because that wasn't the intention at all.

After reading yours and Strucci's posts, I vaguely came to understand that Stephen had some conflict with Dan and decided to pm Stephen the link to your post explaining the event. Then Carter came for Stephen. The score settle, I was excited too, but I chose to remain silent. I would like to discuss with Carter, but in topics that I actually know about when there is chance, not getting noisy over issues like this. But then, yeah, what a shame.

Something felt odd about his hyperbole, so I talked to Dan's Champion directly. Turned out that the guy (name witheld) actually said nothing of the sort and just said he wasn't reading the thread because he personally found it awkward. But didn't have anything against it at all and was fine just not reading it.
So Dan was just going around lying and making a big deal out of something nobody else was. That's just the kind of person he is at this point.
I can't tell anyone how to manage their relationship with him, nor can I say they should just hate him due to how he might be behind the scenes (especially if he's being nice to you), but I am of the belief that he is fucking crazy and he's probably not going to fix it at all by doing this desperate clinging business. He needs to just quit the internet, go away, and just go to his fucking college, do his classes, and stay off the internet until he stops being fucking crazy.
And then never speak to me again. The guy is a nutcase and a complete and total fucking asshole.
I was about to ban him myself until the IRC fiasco happened (totally worse than The Russian).
