Near the very end, the arguement between Luffy and Vivi, I don't understand at all what they're trying to say.
Luffy: "Vivi."
Vivi: "Yes?"
Luffy: "I want to beat the crap out of Crocodile. If we stop all the rebels, will Crocodile stop? Even if we reach Katorea, there's nothing we can do. We're Pirates. You're better off going there without us."
Vivi: "That…that isn't..."
Luffy: "All you want is for no one to die in this battle. Not the people of your country. Not any of us. You're taking on a Shichibukai Pirate in a battle over a million people are preparing to fight in. All you want is for no one to get hurt. Aren't you just fooling yourself?"
Vivi: "What's wrong with that!? What's wrong with not wanting anyone to die?"
Luffy: "People die."
Vivi: "Stop talking like that! I'm not going to let you say that again! That's exactly what we're trying to prevent! Not the Rebel Army, not the Royal Army...No one in this country is at fault. So why does anyone have do die!? It's all Crocodile's fault!"
Luffy: "Then why are YOU risking your life!? From looking at this country, what needs to be done most…
Vivi: "What of it!?"
Luffy: "...is even clear...to me!"
Dream of Toto-ojisan, "Yuba cannot be defeated by mere sand."
Luffy: "You think risking your one life is going to be enough!?"
Vivi: "Then what am I supposed to risk!? What am I-! I have nothing else to risk...Nothing..."
Luffy: "Try risking our life along with yours! WE'RE YOUR NAKAMA! We're you're nakama right? What? So it turns out...you do cry.
*Vivi: "I will stop the rebellion."
Luffy: "You're the one suffering the most, and you want to beat the hell out of him more than anyone. Now tell me...Where is Crocodile?"
Uhh, okay? What the hell just happened and why are they fighting? I thought the plan was to stop the rebellion then kick Crocodile's butt? What is Luffy talking about when he says, "...Aren't you just fooling yourself?" I'm confused. :wassat:
