It would be perfect to continue the story now instead of a time skip. What happens to Luffy after the war? What happens to the WB pirates? What happens to BB and his crew? What happens to Ace's body? What happens to the marines? There are too many scenarios that can be explore, explain, answer, and etc.
a lot of this can be shown in one or 2 chapter or somethings in cover stories
It would be perfect to continue the story now instead of a time skip. What happens to Luffy after the war? What happens to the WB pirates? What happens to BB and his crew? What happens to Ace's body? What happens to the marines? There are too many scenarios that can be explore, explain, answer, and etc.

If true than Luffy is an coma for a year or longer and the crew will still stay at SA to finally go to FI. Timeskip or not wouldn't change the story
I just don't see a year time skip , maybe a few months the most .
The SH have not even been on the seas for full year yet . Plus it not going to take them that long to get back together .

Like I said the only time-skip I can see is Luffy awaken in SA and the WB and all others are gone. So Oda hasn't to tell us for every character where they went
While the narration box usually signals the ends of an arc, it rarely means a timeskip. Look at the end of chapters 211 and 299 along with the following chapters.

I wonder if that fact that the marines have ace's corpse and will almost certainly have the corpse of whitebeard if that will have some later effect on the storyline. It's clear in this chapter that the marines are guarding ace's corpse so I wonder if the marines are guarding for more then just the obvious of obtaining the body. Vegapunk could use the corpses to harness the fruit maybe? There's just a lot of gray area regarding how the making of devil fruits are achieved.

Is this another case of characters disappearing because there's not enough room, or is he pulling a Sanji? What was that secret that Iva was keeping? It's one of the dangling plot points in this war.

Croc's case is certainly interesting, I'd have expected him to do something that'd have required Iva to use his knowledge, but he hasn't.

Do you know what is sad? That we haven't seen any abilities of the NW captains and the other commanders. And I they will ever be opponents of Luffy after seeing him in action in this war and how much WB liked him

1- maybe they already do it. It must not be easy to find 3 logia DF for their admirals. Then Vegapunk is working on extracting DF without killing the owner (that's my big theory about Kuma ;-)) so maybe Vegapunk is not that bad because before him they had to kill DF users to get their power…

I hope that in some distant future when the series is over and Oda is having time to work on secondary literature to the series, we'll be getting something sort of "the chronicles of war" books. There he could flesh the confrontations out a bit of which we've seen only a short glimpse. I can dream can't I?^^
