Finally read all the chapters. Now got to play the waiting game like the rest of the older readers.
The nice thing about Berserk is that the breaks are so long that you start to forget about the manga. And then a year later you suddenly think: Hey I wonder if there are any more Berserk chapters out? And then theres 5 new chapters or so.

Yeah you should, I just looked on Kissmanga and it looks like chapter 000a, 000b etc are just chapter 1 and chapter 2 but renamed.

It was implied that Casca herself might not want to be 'cured' at all…mind can take only so much. She won't recover only memories of her time as officer of Band of the Hawk but will also remember full fury of Eclipse... what was so painful that it destroyed her very sanity. Should her memories and mind made intact I really don't know how she will take it. It won't be very happy event of recovery and reunion.

I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

For me,i still can't imagine how Guts will defeat Griffith.

Yeah every time Guts dons Berserk armor at battle his mind is collapsing under his inner rage/beast, only Schierke's efforts keeps him control…barely. Should Caska die Guts would most likely be consumed by Hound very soon after...He would become savage force of violence without sanity or reason and would most likely succumb to his wounds after rampage.
Protecting and healing Caska has been his last hope of retaining humanity...without her he would kept throwing himself against Apostles again and again until he would surely been slain...after he got his Berserk armor only Schierke and his hope to heal Caska has kept himself of losing to vengeance.
Not really. Guts has actually grown quite a bit in the last few arcs. If he were to lose himself to the beast, he would end up like Skull Knight. He wouldn't die, he'd just come back different. I'm happy that they are finally on track. It's been so many years but the wait is worth it. Miura is fantastic and only gets better. I almost lost my shit when it was thought that he may have died in that tsunami.

I think Skull Knight became like that for a different reason, Puck sensed something from him that felt like an elf whe he met him. I recall Schierke said that the previous owner of the amor died within it, and the shape of the helm was a skull at first when it was introduced. Connecting the dots i think he first died within the armor, but the elves, maybe the queen herself saved him by trapping his spirit in that skeleton shell.
Right now Casca is the only flame that keeps Guts from going after Griffith, and if he would do that blindly he would certainly die.
Everything will be decided right after Casca will be cured, by her decisions. We are now really in a turning point for the series.

Series back on hiatus after 347. It's on hiatus until sometime in 2017.
If anybody was watching the anime, a second season was announced at the end. Looks like it'll cover the troll and the Flora arcs. It showed the Berserker Armor with 2017 on it.
The anime got better after the first few episodes. They realized pretty quickly that the closeups look weird in CG, so most of the face or talking shots are hand drawn now, and that goes a long way towards correcting the major issues.
It is weird that the women can be naked for an entire episode and have no nipples… but I guess its because they're naked the entire episode and not a 2 second shot.
If it really is getting a second season then that makes it all the more a shame they skipped an arc... but its easy to understand why... it would have been really awkward to spend tons and tons of episodes away from Caska after the long time cliffhangers of the eclipse in either the movies or the old tv series for anyone that didn't read the manga. And including the first arc or the lost children would have padded solo Guts quiiiiite a bit.
So understandable, but unfortunate.

! It seems Casca is already entering the corridor of dreams to be healed, the elf queen has decided that Schierke and Farnese should accompany her.
Maybe Miura has already drew more chapters but he's anticipating the next hiatus to make coincide the manga release with the new anime for marketing purposes.

I liked the dreams though, seeing Mozgus after a long time and Monkey Isidro were kinda funny.
Mozgus' brief cameo made me really happy for some reason, and I also like how Guts' epically thematic "don't pray" quote was reduced to a joke reference lol.
So does exploring Casca's dreams mean that the cast will finally find out about Guts' past during this arc? I definitely hope so. And I knew even before I saw the eclipse cliffhanger that Casca's dreams were going to have some morbid twist to them, but that's pretty obvious.
The frequent mentions of the Cherry Tree make me think something's going to happen to it though. I can't imagine this arc seriously proceeding as smoothly as the main cast has been hoping for, especially in this manga.

Bad evil genie wish. We'd lose the original anime and the movies and all the games in that bargain, and thus the soundtracks that go with them, and the abridged series.
I feel a little weird about Guts not being involved in this intimate arc with Casca. I can buy the reasoning they're giving us, I just think it would give Guts an opportunity to grow as a character. Maybe the hiatuses have altered my perception, but I feel like he's been pretty static since maybe when he dawned the super armor?
