Skullnights past as a king, what exactly happened to his kingdom, casca needs to regain her memory, the prophecy of the Hhawk needs to come true ( that is probably going to happen at the end of the series), we need to find out wtf that thing in the Lost chapter is and some other things i cant recall right now.
Berserk

Well the most plausible prognosis is that Casca upon regaining her sanity loses all of her memory from the eclipse siding with Griffith once again. Which means Guts will have to expose Griffith and confront him for the final showdown.
-
the murder of their child,.
I thought their child was alive or was that bit with the mystery child Guts and Caska met who then
disappeared dropped? -
I thought their child was alive or was that bit with the mystery child Guts and Caska met who then
disappeared dropped? It was the horrific fetus monster thing. Griffith took their baby and reincarnated through it after having screwed it up in the first place during the eclipse.
How I remember it anyway but its years since my last read through.
-
Perhaps if its all vague and forgotten, you should give it a re-read? We also had that three chapter flashback with younger Guts in there.
Anyway, Grififth merging the worlds was a MAJOR push forward in plot which we've only seen the start of. It puts the god hand in the mortal realm, among other things, so accidentally or intentionally, he may have set into motion the method for Guts to be able to actually deal with the bastards.
Also, once Guts and co reach fairy island, it's quite likely Caska will get hr sanity back at long last, and other sorts of crazy powerups, and with the party complete they can start heading into something resembling the endgame. (Which will take a few years, yes.) Of course, Im sure fairy island is going to be in a terrible state when they get there, so…
Yup, I probably will, but I typically would if the manga gets back to a regular schedule. If it's another 3-4 chapters and break, then it's just repeating the same cycle.
I wish all the stuff you mention happens, but my concern is it will take like 5-6 years for us to get any substantial move forward.

Did you miss the thread title change? It's now monthly.
The problem has always been that the magazine was bi-weekly and they'd schedule it as such, and so blow through his buffer and progress faster than he could create it. Hopefully we don't have any extended hiatuses again anytime soon, since 20 pages a month is a totally reasonable pace..

Series probably has about 10 years left in it, so it's fair to say that yes, we should get some legitimate momentum in that time. There's probably not a whole lot left to the current Rickerts plotline.
-
Yeah the baby was used as a sacrifice for the fake behelit apostle to resurrect Griffith into the physical world.
-
I just want the drama to unfold with Caska. I want her to hate Guts for returning her memories, but this time around she has actual knowledge of why instead just being a frightened animal. Obviously she'd seek out revenge on Griffith, nothing's scarier the a woman's revenge. That shit stays in their mind for life until it's done.
I actually think Rickert could possibly bite this dust here. If he doesn't, two things will happen. Either he's saved by the kushan's and flees, or Griffith saves him and shows Rickert that he still "cares" about him. Even then, Rickert leaves.
I think Rickert's plot line is about to end soon anyways which should take us back to Guts and co. I'd give it 3 chapters, maybe 4.

From a narrative standpoint, and even shock vaue, it just makes no sense to kill anyone that survived the eclipse. They are unique and special, and the point was already made that "anyone can die". But not everyone can be "one of the only Hawks to survive." or "the guy that helped with Gut's gear"
One of the guys Guts has recruited in his current party could go… (but even that I find unlikely) but I just can't see Rickerts or Caska dying for no particular reason. Muira would need a hell of a story reason to go there... and nothing is going to be as strong or punch filled as the Eclipse itself was.
Now, in the endgame final arc, anything goes and everyone can suffer horribly and die, and there absolutely should be at least a few lsoses when the godhand are taken on proper. But until then? THey should be still alive. Raped, tortured, missing limbs, crazy... but still alive.
Guts can maybe die at the very end, once he has nothing else to fight for, but... as I said a few posts back, given how there's two children in the group now, plus Rickerts getting focus, I can easily see a timeskip training arc ahead.
Its the same con Game of Thrones pulled. Had a lot of problems hoist upon characters early, (like crippling one of them for instance) and killed ONE major POV character in the first book... (along with rampant death of secondaries) and since then everybody assumes that "anyone can die!" It puts tension in there that wouldn't exist in another work... but the truth of the matter is that aside from the one rule setting exception early on, no major characters have died. All the characters can suffer, be maimed or have their lives turned around and ruined... but no one with any major role and time devoted to them is going to die until the end of the story.
-
I imagine that Gutts's new squad will give him a reason to live and fight beyond pure hatred for Griffith. Family and all that.
I'm totally behind Magnifico becoming the team's full-time Usopp, though.

Totally agree. I don't think Guts was given his new group just so we could have an exact repeat of the band of the hawks. I think it's pretty clear they're there to give him new purpose and help him move forward
-
That and to make him look like less of moody prick.
-
I'm at chapter 100 I got to the part where griphith sacrificed his comrades and now I'm super duper sad, and now I can understand why these demons where after gutts everytime
-
! **Chapter 339** Korean scanlation.
-
! Raksas' face reveal is really fitting for the current status of Berserk plot.
-
Yesss!!! Back on track…

Where can I find the best translation of this…I've used Mangapanda and of course was garbage.

Ahhh I meant the entire Manga as a whole not the latest chapter.

-
Fine chapter, poor Tapasas getting discriminated, Silat continues being one of the best characters of the series.

Dark Horse.
-
Dark Horse.
Yeah I'm probably going to buy them…think they will include Griffiths talk with the evil conscience???
-
Latest chapter has been translated: http://bato.to/read/_/341740/berserk_v38_ch339_by_evil-genius An interesting chapter.
-
I am reading this without reading anything after Griffith's return and I feel good about it.
-
Yeah I'm probably going to buy them…think they will include Griffiths talk with the evil conscience???
They don't. The Japanese volumes don't either. It was Muira's choice to have that chapter pulled, not any given publisher. It "gave away too much too early" or something of the sort.
And were it not for the internet that chapter would be lost to distant history, but…
-
Yeah….it's kinda impossible to suggest it because of how long it takes for Berserk chapters to come out, but I actually do agree it's one of those chapters that should be skipped unless you want to spoil yourself.
-
Yeah….it's kinda impossible to suggest it because of how long it takes for Berserk chapters to come out,
Hopefully if the monthly thing sticks that stops being as much of a problem for people.
-
The big reveal in the translation. Rakshas is Rorschach.
-
Love that Rakshas got depressed they broke his mask and just left, what an interesting character.
-
@Monkey:
The big reveal in the translation. Rakshas is Rorschach.
Lol after being exploded by doctor Manhattan his blood landed on a behilit
-
The biggest reveal is that we're guaranteed to get a chapter this month.
Anyhow, I expect Daiba to join Rickert to the hideout. -
Yeah I'm probably going to buy them…think they will include Griffiths talk with the evil conscience???
sorry….I think I missed this part. What exactly is this? From what I've got from Robby's comments, it's a chapter that came out but won't be included in the tankobons for being too spoiler-y...? WERE CAN I READ THIS?!

This post is deleted!
-
thanks you, guysss! I'm gonna read it as soon as possible.
already did
wait, this is apparently before the 25th volume…why is it resurfacing right now...? anyway, a good chapter, brings light to Griffith's ascending and plays in nice way with the "your destiny is settled but you're the one making it" paradox.
-

Because someone on the forum randomly asked about it when I suggested getting the Dark Horse trades for a good translation.
And it briging light to that is exactly why Muira's had it cut later. It's presumably something that, ultimately, he wants to be a surprise to new readers when Guts learns about it.
Rather than something he gives away 1/4 of the way into the series.
Wouldn't be surprised if the final battle takes place in there and shortcuts Guts having to take out all of the godhand and demons one by one.
-
Well I still hope that Miura will not just bring up the same stuff later on but shoot for something bigger instead. The dialogues with Schierke and the nature of the world transformation that goes beyond "humans need a reason for suffering" seem to hint that way.
-
341 has been announced aswell (23rd October).

Chapter 340 RAW
http://www.mangaumaru.com/archives/520283 -
Thats a bad move. I don't Erika has as much blood as that horse.
-
Rakshas apostle form is noh face from spirited away
-
Erika will be Cascad and Rickert will become the new Guts?
-
That fight was great, I love his artwork and how he puts together fights. Can't wait till the next chapter
-
Silat was awesome.
-
Awesome fight! Both Silat and Rakshas sure have some clever tricks up their sleeves, heh. Erica ain't dying though.
-
If Erica was going to die she probably would've been killed by now instead of being grabbed. I can see either Daiba or another apostle showing up to rescue Erica. Daiba is always being shown next to where Luca group is so he should be in the area. As for another apostle showing up, if this is just Rakshas/Locus going off on their own to try to get revenge for the slap. A demon apostle going on a rampage inside Falconia wouldn't be good for their PR that this is a safehaven for human. So Zodd could step in to stop it.
-
I have this horrible horrible feeling Griffith is going to show up and "save the day" I really hope I'm dead wrong.
