Halfstache threw some mean punches there, but with his face half gone it becomes ever more clear he'll die in the next few chapters. I wonder how Oda is going to handle that, he will usually let people go out in dignity, even did so with Ace (his "dream" fullfilled), but WB came here and failed..

WB lost half his head but still stands and sure isnt down so far.. akainu took two damn powerful full force hits…cant tell from the pics but he is sure hurt and down..but will he stand up again??

oda rly did take his time to go full force with this WAR!…right now at his climax he rly pulling everything out, what we missed so far...hope we get some epic battles for the end..

Poor Luffy is traumatized to the point he can no longer function (hell, he can't even freaking CRY, for God's sake) but it looks like his unfathomable grief is taking its toll on his body! Whitebeard is no longer pulling his punches against Akainu! He took out even more of Marineford in two attacks than everyone else did in this entire war combined…
...And he gets half his face burned off in the process.

Oh, and from the looks of it, Blackbeard recruited those death row inmates, just like we thought he would (what a fearsome looking bunch they are). Then again, my memory of the past chapters has been fuzzy lately. Perhaps the manga specifically stated that BB was looking for those people and I just don't remember it.
Anyway, this chapter was amazing! Luffy's WAAAAY out of his league, without a doubt. Sure, he has "the gift," but it's potential he himself has yet to understand. Also, with WB going all-out and BB on the scene, you can bet your ass the next chapter will be... Oh, poopy. No new chapter next week. I'm pretty sure that whatever BB is gonna do, he's gonna do it VERY SOON... but not soon enough.

Whitebeard was simply holding back so he doesn't wreck his own crew as well.When he went into enrage mode this chapter, the pirates all went OMG RUN!!!! Pops is pissed!!
This was one of the prime argument against the people who kept saying WB was a let down for them.

I kinda agreed to this, if Jinbei joins, then he would be the 2nd member who was once a crewmember in a pirate crew (Sunny Pirates), kinda like Brook. Jinbei would be like the 'Uncle' of the crew and the one closest to him is 'Fisher Tiger'.
Maybe they are childhood friends.

I think BB becoming a Shichi was just the luck of there being an open space from crocodile losing it. It wasn't exactly like BB was trying to be a shichi just pieces fell into place and he said why not I have a clear easy path to be one so why not take it.
Surly, it'll keep the marines of my tail until I break in. It'll save me a bit of trouble.
That's how I see it anyway. Maybe it's wrong I don't know.

I wanna see 5-10 more chapters of this war. After that it's time for a huge timeskip, miss the Strawhats. I also hope we will se some flashbacks or some story telling of the other Strawhats or their reaction of Luffy being in this war and losing his beloved brother Ace.
Luffy will be seen sad for the first moment he meets the Strawhats and maybe dwelling a tear and saying "im glad you are all alright, im soo glad" and crying out loud

Maybe you are forgetting that Lafitte went to Mariejoa to specifically propose BB as a shichibukai, that BB hunted down Luffy to get credibility for his title, that BB told Ace and lateron Crocodile he had everything planned out..

Yes it makes total sense, I mean why would you wait until your opponent is ready, but in shounen this is what the "good guys" almost always do

They would have had to use the pathway Crocodile made. It was the only way out of Level 6. I don't really see them creating a new way. Since the other ways are gas and water.

That isn't a convincing argument for Jimbei being a SH. He is still the captain of the Fishman Pirates….just as the intro thingy said when we first saw him in Impel Down. Plus..if he were to hook up with any1...It'd be the WB Pirates...
