Animals besides humans are actually perfectly capable of being gay. A famous example is actually from within Japan itself - the two adorable male penguins who kept trying to incubate a small rock as an egg. The zookeepers finally gave them a real penguin egg to raise as their own, in the end. c;

Yes, I agree! I never really had anything for Crocodile back in arabasta, the shape of his body was kind of strange and his face/head was a bit too angular. Now he's way nicer looking without going too much into the pretty-boy zone. Also he's got an AWESOME personality.

Have you been to the depths of the OP fandom? There's been hundreds of times where fangirls have made every male char gay. Hell there's a good portion of the fandom that like to pretend the female chars dont exist just so all the chars are gay.

Uh I never actually said I hated when people do that. People should have the liberty to do whatever they want with the characters in the fandom.
The only thing I have a problem with is Zosan, and it's not because of the actual pairing - I have no problem with that. (Even though it makes absolutely no sense to me) The only thing that annoys me is how it has completely monopolized the fandom. But if someone really wants to write an OOC fanfic with Zoro and Sanji having buttsex, I won't give a damn about them 'misusing' the characters.
I have far more problem with making Sanji RANDOMLY Gay than everything else in the ZoSan fandom. I don't mind if there is some explanation but 70% of the time its literally: Sanji is gay and always has been. While another 25% is: Robin and Nami (Usuaally Brook and Chopper.) Don't exist and never have. So Sanji doesn't have anything to tempt him. He will ALWAYS BE GAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
And if you think I'm over-reacting on that last one. You'd be verrrrrry suprised.

1. Sanji is randomly gay/has a random urge to have sex with Zoro.
2. Sanji has always been gay! He's been pretending to like Nami and Robin to cover up his gayness, and actually hates them and thinks boobs are gross!
3. Zoro forces himself on Sanji who doesn't seem to mind at all, or only fights him with UKE WAILS~ (When in reality he can kick Zoro to the moon)

I think some of the dislike of this pairing has to do partly with how popular it is–you can't really visit any OP yaoi galleries or pixiv or /cm/ without seeing it there (and Ace/Marco lately), and that can be aggravating when you're looking for other stuff. And yes, it's very OOC (at least for Sanji, who has to be the straightest man in the OP-verse), but then, so are most pairings in this series. But I wouldn't take fan grumblings too seriously, it's probably just frustration that so many artists choose to focus on this particular pair over others. Personally, I can't say that I care for this pair simply because I'm not a Sanji fan (although lately I've been warming up to him a bit more. throws accusing look at Nakajima Aya), but it's hardly the worst thing out there. Not to mention that it includes Zoro, which makes it at least 50% hot. XD

Honestly, it's like you ignored my whole post. I SPECIFICALLY said that I don't care about Zosan ITSELF, I really wasn't bashing it. I made it clear that the reason I resent it due to it's popularity. And allowing people to use the characters for whatever they want in the fandom was the whole point of my post there.
Also the thing about the three points - It can pretty much be used with almost any pairing in the fandom. I was just saying them for fun since Local brought it up, no need to get so serious about it.
