@AGOG: Doesn't FI belong to WB? With WB dead, The WG might go after it now, so, FI could be next next place, since Jimbei and WB pirates needa place to go anyways. Moreover, if everyone is headed there anyways, they could have a reunion there. Then again, idk, since with everything that's happened, I doubt Luffy would want to continue on his adventure for a while. Since there's gonna be a time skip, I'm think there are gonna be about two mini-arc between now and when Luffy continues on his adventure; 1 mini arc being the recuperation arc, and the other being when everyone manages to find Luffy, and they continue on their voyage.

Whats the Gol D. Ace theory?

Im sure there isnt any other chapter titles in OP that says someone dies. So the person would have to die. Unless the other theories that people come up with is, Gol D Ace is born and all that jazz.

You'll have to believe it sooner or later, he's really dead.

There's nothing, absolutely nothing that leads to believe that he's actually alive.

WG and FI have a treaty in place for centuries already…
WB only defends FI from pirates, it'll only lead to piracy issues and such.

They don't lead to FI... Vivre cards lead to Rayleigh who should be on SA cause he said so.

Caimie and hatchi promised to help the crew head to FI and the crew is supposed to head there after they regroup unless some other nonsense happens.

They have all things needed to go there...

I have a very bad feeling about the next chapter. I think they might really screw us over by just knocking Luffy out and showing him wake up a few days later and finding out that White beard is dead along with the whole Marine Island or something

it was like the nothing at all chapter from zoro but Zoro lived instead of died

this chapter is epic and i think we have 4/5 more chapters left before ODA finishes up this arc with a time jump

That part was about plot destination pointing to FI being next…

They don't need a logpose functioning to head to FI because they have the needed help already.

First, Nami's broken log pose means nothing. There's a pose on the Sunny pointing a FI. Although that don't necessarily mean FI is next. As we know Oda has delayed it like 5 times already.

Second, everyone is saying the Sabo thing but another translation had wooden shoes man. What does it really say? He could just be talking about Garp.

I definitely see FI coming, I just have doubts that it's the next stop. I stand by the idea that AL makes the most sense. More people have agreed with me so far than not, and more importantly the ones who have earned my respect since I've been here have also tended to agree with me on this one. There are plenty of reasons not to expand, which most people understand, I think.

I dropped the argument because it became apparent that it was derailing this thread. I addressed it plenty of times, which was enough for everyone else who cared. Because of that, I'll continue to drop the argument. I was never trying to prove anything from the outset. Facepalm all you want, it wont change anything. If you don't agree, that's fine. Just don't agree and be done with it.

Yes, that would seem to be the symbolism of the scene. Ace was conflicted his entire life about his heritage,and then died when at peace with it.

And Blackbeard already defeated Ace.

Fourth time reading through the chapter, probably, and it's absolutely awesome. When I first head the spoiler, I imagined it being this utterly depressing and empty death, but somehow it came across as noble to me. Even Luffy's "Arlong getting kicked in the balls" face is growing on me.

It definitely makes more sense, but on the other and, Garp's reaction is a bit odd considering he would have let the execution happen (albeit grudgingly). The extra malicious flavor of Akainu's dealings might be unappealing to even Sengoku and, if it were even against the marines' code of honor, then the video of the execution might have a much more negative impact on their reputation. It probably isn't so, but the bit of ambiguity got me thinking about that.

Garp did let luffy get to ace by faking being owned by ace on the bridge and i think Garp might have accepted that ace had escaped.

Also see ace die in such a brutal way must be hard for garp as well

you know .. the last panel is probably my favourite in the whole manga. dunno but it makes me feel like looking into a big black hole filled with pain and despair, utter horror and defeat … :cwy: i praise oda for his ability to put so many emotions into one panel .. absolutely amazing. ^^'' this one scored high enough for me to put it onto canvas .. yes ^^

Twas a sad chapter alright and I did like ace. Like most ppl you gotta ask what Luffy will do next! What ive been thinking though - even if you use haki you cant nullify DFs then ppl should really be using sea stone a lot more like smoker then even dicks like akainu could be beat much easier. I would have thought Ace could have blocked Akainu attack with haki but oh well. character's mortality have certainly lowered in recent episodes like with Luffy and the poison and now this. It's not the best though that many weak character get mauled but then recover easily and a powerful person such as Ace dies in one blow - RIP Ace

That's my problem… We never saw Ace using it. We know, he knows about it and his comrades can use it. But Ace never displayed he can use it. he relied on DF against BB and against Akainu as well.

Even if he hadn't control over it, like Luffy, he mostly likely could shown it after being pissed of by Akainu or the whole war scenes which he had to see.

We will never know, if he could use it, and I dunno... Maybe or maybe not... but going against an logia admiral without was dumb, if he could.
